Everwood Season 3: Discs 1 to 4 -  I used to hate TV dramas but since the first season was given to me as a gift, I got hooked and been buying the succeeding seasons na.

King Kong Extended - I seem to like this movie more than when I watched it in cinema and when I first had the 2-disc on DVD

Did a War Movie marathon over the weekend:

Friday night to Saturday night:
Apocalypse Now - Good acting on the part of Martin Sheen and Marlon Brando. For a 1979 film, this was really good (props used were Era correct for the Vietnam war)
Platoon - Really liked Wilhem Dafoe and Tom Berenguer, found Charlie Sheen's acting still a bit shallow here. A lot of equipment here were not era correct namely the guns used by Tom and some other actors
American Soldiers (A Day In Iraq) - for a bunch of unknowns, overall good movie
Blackhawk Down - Watched this a million times (need I say more)
The Hurt Locker - 2nd time to watch it and, IMHO, it wasn't what it was hyped up to be
This is War - Good movie since it focuses on the human aspect of the war

Saturday night to Sunday night:
Generation Kill - Loved this HBO Miniseries. Really good POV of the Iraq war and how some officers are real jerks
Barbie-A Fairy Tale - My daughter asked if she could watch in between the Generation Kill episodes hehehe

Sir, thanks for the warm welcome. Was referred here by Jay of K2 Interactive who is also part of PinoyDVD.
Actually, am rebuilding my collection after Ondoy. I lost practically my whole DVD and VCD collection (over 400 original titles, suki ng AstroVision in Galleria kc)

Watched Ghost Rider last night. Nic Cage wasn't his full self for this movie unlike Con Air, City Of Angels, and Face Off.

The Dilemma

-I just love the cast starring Vince Vaughn (who I always find obnoxious and detestable), Kevin James (remembering him from that oh so funny Grownups), Jennifer Connelly (pretty and thin as always but you could see that she has aged) and of course anorexic Winona Ryder whom I haven't seen for a long time.  This is a movie about cheating with your spouse and honesty.  It was more of drama than comedy although there were a few funny moments that could muster a chuckle.  It would bore singles and might get some couples awkward watching this movie.  I wouldn't recommend it for everyone to watch...just see for yourself.  :)

Alpha Dog

-drugs, sex, violence in juvenile drug dealing groups is what this movie is all about.  Based on a true story, it is just so sad and disturbing how these young boys could do such heinous acts without thinking about the consequences and just how young hormonal girls just fall for these "bad boys".  Writer-director Nick Cassavete was able to deliver and depict that Godless world very well.  Casting was also great with Justine Timberlake, Emile Hirsch and Bruce Willis.  Nicely done but gut wrenching to watch specially if you have teenage kids.

-this is one film that would stop me from watching those oversized animal movies.  Bad acting, bad CGI not to mention the inconsistency of shark's size.  It was just funny that the shark jumps out of the water like a dolphin after eating some person.   ;D

-Every ex-boyfriend battle was like playing Mortal Kombat/Tekken or Streetfighter.  Senseless plot but entertaining and funny!  ;D
