Back to the Sea (2012)--while watching this movie, you can't just stop comparing it with Finding Nemo. It pales in comparison with other animations in terms of animation and originality. Just had to accompany my kid in watching this. Slept near the end.

Based on the true story of the first black regiment which fought for the North in the US Civil war. Denzel Washington's portrayal of an ex-slave turned soldier in this '89 film won him an Oscar. One of my favorites because of its compelling story and acting.

Pain and Gain (2013)-- Michael Bay movie starring Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg. Seems like a good popcorn movie. But then again, I find the movie heavy and sick. I find it hard to laugh at the stupidity of the characters. Showing the faces of the real persons added to the intrigue. It is, by the way, a true story.

Parker (2013)- Jason Statham does his best as a bad guy who has principles (remember the Transporter series). His role as Parker--a double crossed partner after a heist seeks for revenge. He tracks them down to Florida and with the help of a real estate agent Leslie (Jennifer Lopez) does the job.

I am a Statham fan and definitely this movie is a thumbs up. Jennifer Lopez wasn't a kick ass girl but putting the two together was a good match. No nudity here but Jennifer in underwear was a treat. Surround sound and LFEs exemplified during the fight and gun shot scenes. The knife-in-hand scene was a winner.
