 probably connected parin yun service nato sa hdd while naka-on pa rin yung unit.that's why shutting down the unit down while BT/samba is still on is a big mistake, so to speak.

Shutting down using the power button at the back or just via remote which make the unit on standby?

My apologies for the delay.

(medjo busy sa dayjob ko this week

Di ko pa na draw as I amd checking the list twice manually just make  sure walang maiwan.
some did not register sa http://toys4geeks.nexus.ph warranty ng purchased units, so am completing the list manually (based on manual records, text, PMs, website warranty registration).
I'll post list here on or before 4pm today, 7/2/2011.

For transparency:
a. I will post full list here today
b. based on the total entries, will announce the winning number.

Thanks again to all toys4geeks' egreat customers for the 2011/Q1+Q2 biz.

Brader, that's correct. Standby mode sya. That's how I treat my R200 when not in use, naka standby.

excluded, pero we still encourage you to register the unit, since you will get the warranty registration confirmation..
 
Si jcsantamarina nag add ng 750 per unit (S100 x 2) to extend to 1 year(w/ service unit while on RMA). he qualifies.  
To be honest, some dont enroll knowing from experience R-200 is a tank, that just wont quit. Kahit timbangin hindi siya kulang  but others prefer the piece of mind that after 3 months, its covered.

Just PM before 3pm, if u wish to upgrade from 3mo to 12 mo (with service unit) so you can make the raffle list.

shutting down by pressing the power button on the remote first bro and then pressing the power button at the back of the unit.

but the most impt. thing is yung step 1 which is the power on the remote. it will already shut down the unit properly.

@vortex1, I take it it power off will close files and shutdown the system gracefully. Seems the culprit here is only if the network share service and BT service running (thus having open files shared by NMT). Just the same, I'll ask egreat this is the observation, given this is just linux, they can simply  include the sync;sync;shutdown BT/SMB share service before doing a haltsys Jim@toys4geeks

yup... have them program the system so that BT service will also shutdown if you will power off the unit.

also bro I noticed that you need to rename the subtitle exactly as the file name in order for r200 to recognize it. is there a way to browse the folder if you have multiple external subtitles? tia.

do you save multi sub in the same folder level as the movie?

i only have some srt files downloaded from subscene. its says "subtitle off", but when i renamed one srt as the same file, r200 now detected it but that's the only one it recognized and not the 2 other srt files that's in the same folder. gulo ko hehehe.

ok, multisrt files, in same folder, you want to cycle amongst the subtitle. currently only the srt with filename = the mkv is the one recognized. will check for you regards.

Mga braders...I ran into a delemma where I need your help regading the R200.

Intro:
My R200 has a 2TB internal HD (with 1TB of loaded films - 1TB free space). Two - 1TB external HD are connected at the back of the R200 (via USB), both of which are filled with films. Every time I switch on to watch films, the R200 detects the movies internally and the movies found in both external HD's. Everything was fine.

Yesterday:
Since you now know that both external drives are full, I opted to transfer the contents of one external TB into the internal drive, since I still had 1TB of free space. After the transfer, there is still 36GB left on the internal HD.

Delemma:
So basically, now I have almost 2TB of films on the internal HD and one external HD connected at the back of the R200. However, when I switch "ON" the R200, it does not detect the external HD at all.

Have any of you experienced this? Your thoughts/inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Q#1: did you transfer via PC or via R200 File manager interface?
Q#2: the external USB HD you are having a concern with,  can a PC still detect the disk?
If yes, then disk is fine, R200 usb has a problem.
If no, then try changing USB cable of disk and detect it on the PC end.
Q#3 w/ your USB disk plugged to win7, does disk administrator of win7  see the disk and its partition at all?

Hi sir Jim!

I always appreciate your quick reply and assistance. I solved the problem. My bad. I transferred the files thru a laptop (USB cable of the external HD plugged in one port, the R200 plugged in another port using a USB slave cable).

After the trasfer, I left the "USB Slave Cable" connected at the back of the R200. Turns out, if you leave this USB cable attached, it bypasses the detection on the external drives connected at the back of the R200.

Just right now, I was playing around with it and decided to disconnect the USB slave cable. I switched the player on and viola!...there it was, my external HD has been detected.

Nevertheless, this is good to know and share as it might create panic amongst Egreat R200 owners. I know I panicked.

Uy good to know that when the R200 slave port is used, it will only show the internal disk, other (bare SATA and USB disks) wont show.

Kaya pala connecting the PC as slave USB  will only detect the internal disk, coz it cuts off the other host ports and the bare SATA.

p.s. on Raffle
i checked kasama ka sa raffle. Di ko pa ma draw kasi giving until 7/7/2011sa mga pahabol, alam mo naman Q1 is all manual registration pa, Q2 lang may toys4geeks.nexus.ph sa online registration.

So far 223 tickets ang nakalabas, so thats 1/223 shot per 1k spent.
