has anyone tried playing this mkv file on your r200?
Transformers.2.2009.IMAX.1080p.x264.DTS.2AUDIO-WAF

video suddenly stutters on 2 different Imax scenes:
at 1:02:30; when Prime was about to fall down after being stabbed by megatron

and at 01:54:10; When Devastator is currently merging

video just stutters and continue normally after that scene. weird.

it has stutters? or it just might be some change in the aspect ratio? because i know this film was shot in a regular 2.40:1 aspect ratio and imax ratio.

thanks sirs. i tried rebooting the unit but it's still the same. there's a 3-4 sec. video stutter and then it goes back to normal.

This transformer file also stutters on my measy. when i checked those scenes, its video bitrate is 30mbps+. i had other files that stutters and when checked, they have 30mbps video bitrate also.

@ 30mpbs it will not stutter @ SATA speeds (R200).

bro zenki, when you play it is it also on USB as the case below that's why it stutters?

Just tested the file on my Xtreamer SW and it played it smoothly from start to end.

Fellow R200 users, na-experience niyo na ba sa unit niyo that it hangs in the middle of a very busy scene like explosions or intense action fighting scene going on? It happened to me twice already and the movie hangs. You can power it off through the remote and when I play the same scene, okay na.

This happened to me on Sherlock Holmes (copy came from Jim) and the other movie (IP Man - my own copy). Playing these movies from the internal hard drive.

I have never experienced this issue before and I do have both films on file. So far, they both played flawlessly on my player.

when it hangs, consistent ba sa time where it does?
U at ver .39 na?
perform a scandisk kaya?

if you can off the R200 via remote means, its likely a file based.
Since its SATA (tray and bare sata), even at > 20MBPS bitrate stutter or SW hang on playback shouldnt happen.

I'm skeptical that it will be possible.

TrueHD and DTSHD can't be output via optical due to bandwidth restrictions of coax/optical (15 year old technology). Optical/coax can output is 6 channels of lossy audio codec (DTS, DD) or 2 channel lossless PCM.

They maybe trying to extract DD Core from TrueHD and that's already working on the PCH firmware.

Sir Jim, I'm not able to duplicate the issue at the same time of occurrence for a particular video. It just happened twice on two different movies and when I played it back, okay na naman siya.

Yes, already at ver. 39 when I got it from you

Performing a scandisk, medyo mahihirapan yata ako gawin ito unless I have something to connect the SATA hard drive to my laptop (via USB).

Yes, i can still turn off the R200 unit via remote when the picture hangs.

I just hope it doesn't happen again and sana walang issue yun hard drive ko.. anyway, it's still within warranty pa naman

ok a simple USB printer cable will work with it, and plug to you laptop.

Sir Jim, already checked using chkdsk or the error-checking tools within Windows, no errors found. Firmware na kaya ito? I'll let you know if it happens again, bihira lang kasi ako makanood pero natyetyempuhan ko most of the time.. hehe!
