^ thanks. Just found it in tipidpc as well :)

Another newbie question please. I want to buy a HTiB for my Kaiboer but I only have a 6k max budget. I recently saw a LG HT365SD for 5,990 pesos. And since this unit doesn't have a coax in, i'll obviously be using the analog RCA's and that being the case, is there any difference if I opt for this HTiB or just buy 5.1 speakers like the Logitec Z506 which is 2k less?

TIA.

Just recently got the Kaiboer H1055 Plus. Easy to play. Played movies almost the whole morning and afternoon to burn test.  No problems encountered except that it reacts when I press the volume control of my Yamaha AVR remote but not a big deal. It does not play video files from my miniDV.

It so happen I noticed a special function where I have the option to resume playing a movie which I did not finished watching.  The Kaiboer memorizes those movies I failed to finish.  This is a good feature that I experience which is normally seen with DVD players.

I played it with an internal 2TB hd plus 1 TB external hd and all is good.

This is really bang for the buck media player!

What type of Movie audio are you playing?
Are you using coaxial as input to your AV Receiver?
Is your AV Receiver HD capable?

Sir, di mo kelangan 7200RPM, mainit pa yan sa loob ng player mo. stick to 5400RPM disks. Caviar and Samsung are popular.

Used a hitachi 2tb cool spin sata3 5600rpm, no problems with h1073c.  Medyo mabagal lng maglipat files from pc to player:)

Best to remove disks from NMT, connect via SATA sa PC and do your file management sa PC. alternately, if you have eSATA or USB 3.0 SATA docks or enclosure it helps cut down the data transfer 6:1 (3GPBS vs. 480Mbps)

Just got my H1055 today, flashed it to the latest firmware (April) and I think it's dead. :'(

It won't get past the Kaiober logo- goes to the Kaiober logo for a few secs and then reboots, Kaiboer logo again. I did the "emergency flash" procedure with the reset button multiple times, tried older versions of the firmware too and same thing- stops at the Kaiober logo, reboots.

Any suggestions? I'd hate to send it back being that I just got it. I haven't even used it yet.

you should've let the seller update it for you before you bought it para iwas sakit ng ulo sa ganyan.

anyway ibalik mo na lang since you already tried everything you can.

I thought the whole point of these units was that it was easy to update the firmware yourself? Why else would the updates be posted on the website for you to use with instructions on how to do it?

Any suggestions would be helpful. Being I live in the US it's probably not cost effective for me to ship it back. Had I known this was going to be a problem I never would have wasted my money on it.

I got this player last week for my daughter's room. Great player for the price. Remote is very responsive. Scrolling down to select my movies is fast. Man faster than my other players, which I won't mention. ;D

because there is always the risk of bricking when flashing, same as with PC and other gadgets.

Nonsense. I've never bricked my PC on updating my firmware, especially not the first time I've tried. This thing is garbage and not worth the money I paid for it.

Imo, If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Sometimes firmware updates screw up our players, features, etc. (example is the ps3 updates, sometimes it has issues) Maybe not this bad like Hdguy mentions bec. it bricked his player.  I rarely update firmware unless its really necessary like header compression updates, which is so impt to me bec. my players can't play the movies. To me lang, this is a 2,300 pesos player. I mean what do we expect? Some of us may be expecting a lot, some may not. I'm not expecting a lot. A basic player for a basic price.  :) I will just use this to play my downloaded movies. So far it has played everything I have tried. The remote is responsive. I mean scrolling down movies is really fast. I'm quite surprised. I will still play around with this player but If I'm looking for other features or if ever there are movies, formats or whatever, that can't play in this player, I will use my other players (mede8er, xtreamer).

My wife has been addictive using this bec. its so convenient for us. We don't have to look for every disc that my daughter wants to watch. ;D.

Anyway Hdguy, I hope you can get your problem resolved.

At least someone is sympathetic. :D

I needed to update the firmware because I had a problem with 1080p output- it was corrupted, I thought this might help. But it was probably a bad HDMI port. It was unusable for me anyways. Not a good sign on the first H1055 I bought.

To resolve I will have to send back to Kaiober China tech-support, which will cost me more than 1/2 what I paid. I probably won't bother and toss it in the trash.

This happened to me too.  :P

I bricked my K130i while updating the FW posted at the Kaiboer site.  :'(

....same as above but was able to pass the Kaiboer logo....but the remote won't work.
.....good thing, I reside here in Manila and I bought it back to the shop I bought it from, the owner attached it to his own monitor, tried to update it as I did, Nada, then asked where I got the update, and I told him at the Kaiboer site, then he stated "Just get the one I post at the ebuy site", then asked one of his subordinates to give me a new unit, afterwhich he volunteered "Let me update it for you OK".
...proceeded to update it without waiting affirmation from me. :P

......Up to this date, I have not updated my K130i, and my 1050plus, for fear of bricking it again.  ::)

BTW it's true at 2.5K for the 1050 it's the cheapest that can play most(but not all) movie files out there available for P2P sharing......and to add, the K130i is now on sale(think 2.8K at Gilmore)....but why buy, the 1050 is a far better player.  ;) ;D

If the FW you flashed came from Kaiboer website... Try the FW download from www.ebuy.com. Its Digitag's website.

Can you give me a direct link to the FW? I can't find anything on that website, it's a mess.

Nope. Ebuy firmware same difference. Still as bricked as a brick can be- in the trash it goes along with the $60US I spent on it. :'(

Try changing Audio settings on the Kaiboer to RAW so you enjoy the DTS audio.

Downloaded a copy of the initial TV episode of REVENGE. It is in mkv format. It didn't play in my old HDPro (sounds only, no video) but it played flawlessly in my H1055!!!  :D Must be a new MKV version.

Nice show too!

sa 1055 ba compatible padin yung 1tb or 2tb na portable HD? i tried a 1tb with power connector and it worked flawlessly but not sure sa mga portable HD na USB lang ang coconnect mo...
