For the patience.  :) It's very helpful.  :)

Just got this new remote ,

Normally I use a wireless keyboard w/ built in trackball to control the PC , and the AVR remote 99% for volume control.

Hopefully this is sufficient for me to control the PC and reciever volume..

1. Right click mo yung movie while playing. Go to  "Navigate > Subtitle Language".  Disable mo dun.
2. Delete mo yung subtitle file (*.srt) sa folder where the movie file is located.

i suggest renaming the file, no need to delete it...so in case u need it in the future.

1. Right click mo yung movie while playing. Go to  "Navigate > Subtitle Language".  Disable mo dun.
2. Delete mo yung subtitle file (*.srt) sa folder where the movie file is located.

Guys, which would you suggest I buy to hook my HTPC to my new Wharfedale speakers?  Amplifier only or receiver?  I don't have any yet.

Was considering Onkyo 606 but I think baka mas okay kung amplifier lang muna since I'm exclusively into HTPC at the moment then later on receiver with pre-outs.  No plans on buying bluray player, wii, dvd player, etc. anytime soon.  Anyway HTPC can play downloaded Bluray rips and even full Bluray backup, decodes the latest audio formats through PowerDVD like TrueHD, DTS-HD, etc., plays FLAC, mp3, avi, mkv, etc. so there might be no need for a receiver.  In short, my HTPC will act as a "pre-amp".  Can this be done?

Any comments or suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks.  :)

I connect my HTPC to a receiver.
I like the option of having a radio tuner on the receiver.  Amps dont have it.

I just bought an Acer Aspire X3200 Desktop PC at 16.8T, Small Form Factor Casing, with HDMI & SPDIF out built-in already. check out the specs at google.

I installed K-Lite Codec. and connect it to my 40" lcd tv. And presto, instant HTPC.

The price difference differs in the monitor size. I was quoted at 27T with a 19" monitor. But I only need the CPU.

I played some 720p mkv files, result was flawless. I even played some 1080p, again smooth. BTW, I upgraded it to 2gb mem.

I used hmdi to connect to my lcd tv & spdif cable to my amp.

does it have a digital coax option instead of spdif?

Just finished testing and programming ... This remote works great with my HTPC setup connected to a Reciever and projector  . Now I operate 99% of what i need on this one remote .

Nope, only spdif or optical output. I just realized I can use my PS3 controller for PC games (haven't played any pc games for a long time). Just google the necessary drivers, dont forget to include the xpadder program.

I was thinking of replacing it with Klipsch Promedia or Logitech Z5500.  I ended up buying this yesterday...

Share ko lang po yung aking simple HTPC setup...

the case will be replaced soon (nasimot ko lang yan eh) to blend on the A/V setup. Ini-spray paint ko muna ng Gloss black yung PC case hanggang sa makapili na ako ng tamang mATX casing.

Thanks for looking.
