I think they can give the Mission M71 and M73 good competition.

Heard the KEF Cresta 10 and Cresta 30 yesterday at Sound Dimension paired with Yamaha 630.

What can I say (though di pa ata nabreak-in)

Superb Sound overall.
Great Sound Imaging
Full Bodied Sound
Speakers are small but act like a BIG one.
Highs are clearer than crystal.
The Midrange is live!

The price is almost the same with Missions M7i series, cheaper pa ata. But IMHO, it better than M7i series.

Sensitivity is 91db.

Meron isa pang series ng KEF dun, CODA series.

Hi Philander!

The other KEF models set-up with the Yamaha 630 are the Coda 70 and the Q1.

What Hi Fi? reviewed the Coda 70 in its August 02 issue. Its price is also about 50% more than the Cresta 10 and about the same as the Cresta 30 floorstander.

The Q1 is rated against Mission 780. Both were rated 5 star.

The Q1 falls slightly short in its bass performance vs. the 780. It is however being retailed at 20% less than the 780.

Your ears and your wallet will be the final judge.

I think it will really be the Cresta 10 and the Cresta 30 which will give the current models available in Manila good competition and value for money.
