Wait nga pala san niyo puwesto yung edimax as i believe via wired pa din from linksys to edimax e di ganun din may wired ka papunta edimax and wired to pio. Ang gugulo niyo amf..

Kulit mo elms! The edimax will receive a signal via wifi and can be placed beside the pio for a wired connection.

Hindi kailangan wired yung edimax elmer langhiya ka naman eh.  Kung mag wired si louie then he wouldnt need the edimax altogether. The edimax will grab a signal via wifi nga.

Sorry ha accesspoint kasi sa ofc from modem ni pldt wired to the access point device not wireless. So from the access point dun connect mga ipad or any handheld device. Nakuha ko naman ang sinasabi niyo pero is the edimax capable such? Ano pala ang idadaan sa connectivity na yan going to PIO?

Teka sis ano bang steps yan?
Hehehe ;D
eto
) Click on “Basic Setting”, then select “Universal Repeater”
”ESSID” is the SSID of this new repeater.
“Root AP SSID” is the SSID of the root-AP.
Set “Channel” to be same as the root-AP.
Click “Apply” to save the setting.
(When using encryption, which we strongly suggest, please make the appropiate
settings at “Security”.
9) Click “Apply” again to reboot the AP to make the changes.
After the reset, please make sure your device is connected to the root-AP.
To do this click on “Home”, and see the status of “Wireless Repeater Interface
Configuration”, and check if it says “Connected”.

Censya na guys pero even PLDT via wired ang repeater nila like PLDT modem to cisco device to 4 PLDT wireless. IK think what you are figuring out need a device that is not edimax via  router wireless to AP not wired and AP should has a lan port.

tinatanong mo yan ibig sabihin hindi mo nagets....
LAN Cable nga.....maiksi....

Di mo nagets di ba kanina ko pa sinasabi na wired to PIO ang ung connectivity like stream ng music or others.  >:D >:D >:D

Sis if you read up the wireless adapter of pioneer it functions the way we described what we are trying to achieve with the edimax, wether the edimax can do that or not is what we are trying to find out, comparimg it to pldt has no relevance whatsoever.

Derick yung pinost ni louie na netgear yan din yung naconsider ko kasi cheapest alternative to the pio adapter kaya nagsuggest ako nyan, but i found out na may edimax kaya sabi ko tanongin rin kayo kasi baka, makatipid si sis louie.  Gagana yan, proper settings lang.  As long as the edimax can function the way its described sa site nila.

yup madali lang un...as ip address coming from pio will be coming from EDIMAX
lahat yan coconnect naman wirelessly at Lan kasi dhcp ung devices(two routers)..
focus lang on how the internet connection from modem will be transferred to both router

first you probably need to turn of the DHCP server on the linksys, also when you connect through wireless do you get your DHCP address from the edimax or the linksys, also makesure the linksys is set to gateway mode not router. other than that you may need to use the linksys as the main router and hook up your edimax as a gateway/switch, also make sure the ip addresses of the edimax and linksys aren't conlficting, other than that i have no idea, if it were me and i needed the extra lan ports i would just buy the linksys router/ap and a switch and hook it up that way , i hope this helps, sorry if i couldn't be of more help as i am new to this kind of setup as well.

Elms parang hindi applicable because the pio wont connect wirelessly, its wired to the edimax.  Also, if you turn dhcp off at yhe router then that shuts the whole house down.  The statement about using the edimax as a switch is what i said awhile ago.
