Anong recommended placement sa harap, sides and likod?
It depends on the type of diffuser. Before ang nasa likod ng fronts speakers ko ay yung QRD-type. Okay naman siya until nasubukan ko yung diffuser ni Tony. Mas gumanda yung highs and mas pronounced yung details. Lumawak din ng malaki yung soundstage. Iba ibang type ng diffuser sa likod ng speakers, iba iba din ang resultang tunog. Depende na lang sa preference mo.
Dati acoustic foam ang nasa likod ng center channel ko. We tried A/B testing with and without it. Almost same lang yung sound. Slightly better lang with the foam in place. Pero nung pinatry saken ni Tony yung skyline diffuser niya, ayun... mas luminaw and lumitaw yung boses.
For the absorbers naman, I used rockwool. Pero yung face niya nilagyan ko ng plywood na may holes. Para absorb and reflect siya at hindi gaano maging dead-sounding yung room.
Sa Igros Marketing so far yung nakita kong pinakamura na rockwool. Nasa MC Home Depot sila tapat ng Meralco. Sa corners nilagyan ko ng makapal na layer ng rockwool to help absorb the low frequencies.
Sa likod combination ako ng absorbers and diffusers.
Sa ceiling treat mo lang yung first reflection point ng speakers using absorbers.
Finally, hanap ka ng fabric na maganda yung design na acoustically transparent. Pwede ka mag-combine ng different fabric design/color para hindi mag mukhang monotonous yung room. Kung may kakilala kang interior designer mas okay para hindi lang sounds ang maganda pati itsura ng HT!
