Would also like to know if this TV is at par or better than the C530/C550 in terms of PQ and if it's built-in media player also decodes DTS audio like it's predecessor. Am curious as to what the Ethernet connection offers though, considering that it doesn't seem to have internet TV.

What is the contrast ratio and viewing angle of this model?

My son always wanted to sit behind me in bed when we are watching TV.
When I asked him to sit in front of me, he told me he cannot see anything when he's upfront.
I realized that our old LCD had a narrow viewing angle and all my son sees is a black screen when he's too near the TV (ceiling mounted).

We're shopping for a new TV!
I spent 2 sleepless nights reading up the discussions of 32inchers only to get even more confused with the introduction of this new model! $:-\$

Awaiting for reviews on this model.
Hoping this would make a nice computer monitor as well for surfing the internet.

kasi nga lcd pa din ang panel nyan. yun backlight lang ang led.

yun full led or oled ang talagang led.

This TV is covered with Samsung Phil. 2 year warranty.

Saw the last unit last weekend at SnS and I got quite concerned about the color. Parang di ganon kaganda 'yong kulay; parang maputla. Di ko ma-describe pero parang masyadong maliwanag. However, same day ni-check ko sa appliance store ng SM parang ok naman.

Hopefully may mag-feedback na regarding this model. Sana rin magkaroon na ng 37".

Got this unit today as replacement for my son's 3 day old LG 32LD460 for gaming.

My impressions are as follows:

Positive:

Better picture clarity and detail, better black color rendition, color is similar to Panasonic, faster motion handling for a 60Hz TV (no juddering on fast scenes, gaming is better, no lagging), panel is almost but not as shiny as my series 6, swivel stand is square glass, lan connection, 4 HDMI 1.4 A, headphone out (very important for gamers and for external speakers) more user friendly remote control, really lots of menu option settings (almost same as series 6 except for internet), Picture in Picture (I really don't use this), DTS, dolby Digital Plus, SRS TruDialog, Touch control panel than side controls.

Negative:

20 watts speakers (but has equalizer, DTS, SRS Theatre sound...)
Remote has no light option on buttons compared to Series 6 (very usable when dark, it works for me)
Colors/Contrast are reduced on both sides/top/bottom angle viewing when watching cable and dvd. IPS/IPS alpha panels have better viewing angles.

bought this last Monday in sns. not an internet TV, but support wireless via a usb dongle, lan port at the back is more for online firmware update. display is not much different from c550 but got some improvements. eco mode is great for me specially if your eyes are tired or stressed from the bright display. game mode is decent. in summary and imho this lcd is a good buy considering the features included plus the price. tnx sns.

This panel is in my bedroom and for me sound volume is decent enough, plus i can use my wireless headphone in this unit when playing games, you can test this lcd in sns they have a display to better appreciate how it performs and make a side by side comparison to other panels.

add: There is auto volume option setting for the TV sound

hi i just purchased this tv last sat. i replaced my lg ld640 for this due to back light bleeding.

i love that this tv decodes dts. i dont have to buy an extremer anymore just a hard drive is enough. picture quality is better than LG.

settings seem to not be saved
picture mode seems to divert to dynamic (which is too bright for the eye) every 30 min so i have to press the p mode every time im watching mkv files through an hdd or watching tv or when turning it on again
when watching tv a pop up box appears on top "noise filter" and below "auto visualization". i managed to figure out to take it off but when i turned it on again this morning it was there again.

the negative comments are just minimal, maybe i just still dont know how to save the settings or what not. Its actually my only problem with this tv. your commments or suggestions will be highly appreciated specially for those samsung users who might have experienced the same thing. Overall the pic quality is better than lg. its just that it cant seem to save the settings.

There's no problem with your TV. Actually, I encountered the same problem at first. Reason is because you are in "Store demo mode". Solution to this is to change it to "Home" mode. Read the manual included in the package and follow instructions on how to change this setting. Good luck.
