static image ba yung health meter?

Yup static siya - please check the pic, health meter nya yun nasa upper right corner http://bit.ly/l1Q2Ld

Quote
gaano katagal yung play time mo?

around 2-3hrs, after nun watch naman ng movie for an hr or 2

Quote
gaano katagal mo ginawa yung white wash?

hindi siya ganun katagal, after using the tv, ise-set ko lang yun intelligent sensor and then ism to white wash, iiwan ko lang siya until the tv shuts itself off automatically due to being idle mga 30mins or less siguro (correct me if im wrong)

Quote
obvious ba yung ir pag nananood ka ng normal tv or movie?

good thing about this is that visible lang yun ir pag nasa white wash ism, hardly noticeable pa siya pero kung tititigan mabuti, makikita mo yun ir. for normal tv viewing or hd viewing hindi siya kita

what can you recommend pala sir to somewhat lessen the effect of the tv's very reflective screen? kabadtrip manuod pag nakikita ko yun sarili ko at yun bintana sa likod

All these 3 units are plasma.  If you are opting for plasma, then your primary use will most likely be for movie watching.

I previously own a pana 42x20 and based from reviews of x30, they have similar pq.

Comparing x20 and pw350 pq, the pana is slightly better (and easier/simpler video control setting).  Although with picture wizard of lg, it is getting close to the pq of pana.   Although both models have reflective screen surfaces, the pana x20 is more reflective.

If you plan to watch exclusively only 2d movies, i'd go for the cheaper x30.   With panasonic plasma models, you'll never complain with its pq.

If you plan to go into 3d with cost in mind, then i'd go for pw350.  This is currently the cheapest way to enjoy 3d.  But i bet (i don't have any comparison though), that there are more better 3dtv's out there but way costlier.  With active shutter glasses, you would need brighter screens so i would think the led/lcd 3dtv would perform better.

I can't comment on the sammy 450, i haven't seen it in action.

i intend to use this for my movie watching with occasional ps3 gaming for my son. however, i really doubt it if the gaming will be occasional when my son gets to experience playing on a big screen. i hope this tv does not have much IR. and i have no plans of watching 3d.

i hope the reflectivity will not bother me since i plan to use this in a darkened room. Now i only need to see this vs the pana and samsung. i hope SnS will be kind enough to accomodate my request to set my choices side by side for a showdown.

btw, how much is this now? how much is the x30 and sammy? i want a 50 inch screen.

thanks sir erwin111

if you don't have plans in watching 3d, then better to choose panasonic plasma.. check out the review made by sir carlo for the x30.. plasma is prone to ir when you have static image in display especially if you are going to use it for pc and console games.. for the 50in versions, i think the pana x30 is actually the most expensive among the 3.. while the 42in versions, the x30 is the cheapest among the 3.. wierd eh ;)

better check with sir vic (SnS) for the latest updates in prices...

Yun na nga, the pana is the most expensive at 50in. And im eyeing it. I demoed a samsung 50 last night at Ansons,  the picture is great, as far as my eyes are concerned. Whats stopping me from buying the samsung is the feedbacks on bad after-sales services. Of course im hoping that if i buy it from SnS, i have nothing to worry about.

For the price of the 50in., i could probably buy a 42 pana plasma and another 32 in lcd. Now that would make everybody happy here in the house. Maybe except me who wants a bigger screen.

thanks again erwin111. input greatly appreciated.

Just got this tv today in SnS.. easy and simple transaction.. what can I say about this TV?..   we played tangled movie as requested by my daughter.. it is normal mkv HD file and the display is at par with my previous 42x20 display.. we converted it to 3d via the tv, and the effect is way above my expectation.. you can adjust also the 3d depth conversion to your liking.. then i connected my PS3.. as i've read in avforums, you should set PS3 output to HDMI at auto.. surely it would detect the display as 3d capable.. then i played super stardust,  as it is a described 3d game.. once you start the game, you would be notified by the game if you want to play the game in 3d (before when i was using a different display, it was not giving that notification).. choosing 3d and would trigger 42pw350 to turn on 3d mode and notify you to turn on 3d eyeglass.. turn on and WOW.. just WOW.. seeing the blowing asteoids is so much fun to look at.. and once your ship explodes, debris is like passing through you... i'll try later GT5 (since it is also a known 3d game) and look for actual 3d movie.. for now, all i can say, this tv is bang for the buck.. cheapest way to enjoy 3d in your home..

update: GT5 also looks good in 3d, but i'm more impressed with the 3d effect on super stardust.. i'll try wipeout next.. playing a 3d half SBS mkv file works on the internal media player (playing the file on xtreamer also is working), then set 3d mode side-by-side on tv, looks great (way better than the 2d to 3d conversion of the tv).. the 3d effect using a half SBS file on the 42PW350 is comparable, in my opinion, to a RealD cinema (not yet an IMAX type experience  ;))

A gaming videocard set to 1080P, would a plasma 720p able to produce a presentable display? Is it possible that my desktop display resolution would scale down? and in turn will have large icons and fonts on my screen.

Up for this question. Im an avid mmorpg player and display real estate is a prime commodity in this kind of games.

first time ko pupunta sns sa monday to check this plasma.
