Added alnico magnets to my FRs. courtesy of sir anthony... Better bass compared sa wala pa yung magnet... and the vocals sounded bigger/fatter (which I prefer)...

I can listen to music now without the sub... Halos di ko na sya i-on... Still thinking kung tatangalin ko na sya from my music setup para lumuwag... Pero let's see. Haven't tried diff genres pa. So baka sa iba kailangan na ng sub. Pero now, I'm happy kahit naka off yung sub.

Found my late uncle's DIY tube amp... As my dad said, mga 60's pa daw binuo ng uncle ko yung amp na to...

Now in the good hands of sir TonyT. We asked him to replace the chassis, and remove other knobs like bass, treble and balance. This amp has many switches. Meron low pass and high pass filter. Meron balance, bass and treble. The new chassis will only have power, volume and input selector swithces. As per sir tony, he will replace all capacitors kasi probably tuyo na daw yung oil inside. And he will check kung ok pa mga trannys... But the tubes will remain... and luckily may phonostage din ata ito. Sabi ni sir tony el84, 12ax and 12au ang mga nakakabit na tubes... (I forgot kung ano tube yung rectifier). And 2 tubes ang hindi nya ibabalik kasi mawawala na yung bass and treble switches.... Replace also the rca inputs and binding posts... Parang complete ovarhaul na din...

Hope he can still revive this amp so my dad can hear it sing again after x (even he doesn't remember) number of years na nakatambak... Luckily may cage above the tubes. For sure basag basag na sya kung wala....

Its been over a year since last post ko dito ah... Let me share my added budget meal gears... hehehe.

Added rega rp1 with rega carbon cart (stock), Cambridge phonostage and stock HT plinths for isolation...

Hoping wala ng hapgreyd... hehehe.

Here is our setup in my dad's KTV room

DIYed enclosure for 15inch jbl fullrange and vifa tweeters... Thanks sir markcrenz and sir trod for the advise for parts (caps and resistors) to use...

Driving those speakers... El84 parallel with phonostage made by sir tonyt...

The Sources, Sony TT and Denon CDp....

Tube phonestage also from sir tonyt on top of the cdp

Room Placement.

Other side of the room... JBL speakers dirven by a 6v6 pp amp, and onkyo speakers driven by a 6lu8 pp amp. Amps made by sir tonyt...

The 6v6 15 watts.

Brought my HB enclosures to anthony... it is now almost an omega... OMG drivers with OMG crossover... hehehe. I have no more space for them, so tambay tambay muna sya somewhere until I can find a place for them... Paired with a Pioneer a307 amp and musiland 03/laptop... Hehehe.

Oo nga sir tony... Napapaisip ako sa SET... Hehehe. Parang type ko yung el34 set same dyan sa inyo. Pero I'm not sure kung kaya nya idrive yung speakers ko... Hehehe. Maganda ma-test. Hehehe.
