Far fetched theory, but I think the LAkers are trying to sell Kobe's scoring binge in order to shock teams come playoff time when Kobe starts sharing the ball. With the compressed season, I would think the bigs would be so  spent come playoffs that they're being spared the extra "load" on offense  ::). But I do sense that Kobe has an agenda with all this 40-point games. It pains me to see a lot of forced shots. But hey, that's Kobe for ya. Polarizing yet you can't argue with 5 championship rings.

it will turn out to be a disaster when Kobe strats making a habit of doin it all by himself and frustrate his teamates becoz of few touches. its still better to move around to get all teamates.

If I remember it right, Kobe went on a rampage scoring-wise(averaged 35 ppg)back in 2006? Lulled everyone into thinking that all you need to do was stop Kobe in the playoffs and LA's done for. Top-seeded Phoenix almost paid for it going down 1-3 in the first round. But, close but no cigar for the LAkers as the Suns crawled back to win the series.

That Lakers team doesnt have enough talents compared to what they have now who are 2 dominant BIG men to intimidate opponents both on offense and defense so Mike Brown better maximize the full use of his twin towers and make plays for them in order to pace Kobe during the stretch of the season or i see Kobe completely worn out by the playoffs.

There were only two twin towers combo in the NBA before, Hakeem Olajuwon and Ralph Sampson; David Robinson and Tim Duncan. Lakers and Kobe has the luxury of Bynum and Gasol on their side so they better lets those 2 pound the opponents from inside for higher percentage shots.

Mas importante kay Kobe na maka 40 points and up kesa manalo kanina. You can see the frustration of Bynum in the second half wherein he runs from both ends of he court only to get rebounds. A trade will do wonders for Bynums game. He can be a 20/20 guy if he gets the ball at least 25 times per game.

Pedro: Bumabalik na 'yung dating laro ni Kobe.

Juan: Gumagaling na sya ulit?

Kobe on consecutive 40-point games!
You can't blame him, he just can't miss on most possessions! A consequence though is his teammates don't get touches, they just run up and down the court, and when Kobe passes to one of them, they miss their shot because of lack of rhythm. I blame the coach on this.

Laker player: What's our offensive play, coach?
Mike Brown: Ipasa niyo kay Kobe.  :-X

Saw him score after every possession on the game vs. the Clippers. Walang magawa kapag one on one bantayan, in your face 3-point shot, turn around, etc. etc. Dapat talaga double-team. Parang walang injury, and parang hindi pa 33 years old.

Buti nalang magaling idol CP3 ko.  ;D

In a compressed season, unless you're young and almost always injury free like Dwight, big men need all the rest they could get. The stress on their knees alone on back-to-back games would be incredible. I'm still surprised that players agreed to a brutal schedule like this.

For this season, players are being paid on the number of games scheduled by the NBA.  If the players had their way they would probably want those 16 games lost back.

Derek Fisher--- timeless! Another game winner for Fisher, this time against Dallas.. Lamar got a standing ovation when he came in.. that was nice.. Great game by Bynum.. horrible game by Kobe.. ;D

Boston is now on a tail spin. Looks like this is the end of the Big Three. Watched the game this morning and what is very obvious is the fact that Kevin Garnet isn't the player that he used to be.

KG is old, and so is ray allen.  I believe magkasunod na year sila na draft, but KG is younger coz he was still in high school when drafted.  Yung mga kasabayan nya most of them retired na, Rasheed, mcdyess, stackhouse, finley, etc.  Sya nalang yata natitira and Kurt Thomas (might be wrong though).

yan ang problem ng big three ng celts eh, ageing crop of players sa tagal an ding nag lalaro ni KG plus yung positon nya gets all the bang and hard contacts, mas madali syang mauupos, it seems we will be seeing the end of the Celts this year, sana mamakuha sila nag malalakas next year but after allen and KG, parang ang hirap ng bumuo ng competetive team

Matagal nang mahina si Garnett.  Mas na expose lang this year.  Since KG had that knee operation, it went downhill from there.  Ang best asset kasi ni KG is he roams on defense helping others while Perkins controlled the paint.  So KG was free to roam.  Even with Shaq around, yun din ang role niya.

But after Perk was traded, KG had to play center this year.  Instead of roaming on defense, he was tasked to control the middle and be the last resort on defense when his teammates get beaten off the dribble.  Kaso mahina na talaga.

Boston is still in a good position. They have Rondo locked up long term and they can deal Allen and KG. My best guess would be that Pierce will remain with them until he retires.

Actually dapat si danny ainge ang sibakin by not putting in new blood. Kulang na lang eh ibalik nya si Bird para balik contender sila.

Very true. Imagine getting the ff: Jermaine Oneal, Shaquille Oneal, Nenad Krystic....then traded away a young Perkins to Green...only to find out that he can't play due to a heart ailment.

Meron namang new blood a, Dooling, Pietrus, Wilcox, Bass...

Para sakin di naman dapat sibakin si Ainge. The team is just in the same position as Dallas, they just reached their limit in terms of being contender. Pag tiningnan nyo ang salary structure ng teams (Dallas and Boston), pareho silang may malaking cap space next year (around $20m), so they're still in pretty good shape.
