Durant and Westbrook combined for 91 of OKC's 124pts.. Durant had 51, Westbrook had 40.. Ibaka had triple-double, 14pts-15rebs-11blks.. but the game still went to OT against Denver who had no Gallinari and Nene.. OKC won but that was one tough game for them..
Yeah, it was an incredible "NBA Jam"-like performance by Durant and Westbrook. Some interesting trivia about the OKC players' stats tonight:
* First time since 1996 (after Jordan and Pippen) that 2 teammates each scored at least 40 points
* Durant and Westbrook's combined points surpassed the point total of seven other NBA TEAMS that played tonight (including Miami)
* First time in NBA history that a team had players logging 50 pts, 40 pts, and a triple-double
Safe to say that OKC is the team to beat in the West?
They play Boston and the Lakers back-to-back this week. Add to that the MIA-NYK game on Friday, and we have a lot of great games to look forward to before the All-Star break.
