Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak looked way pissed during the closing minutes of game 5 ...... one of the best GM's in recent years, Kupchak will likely make trades to get the Lakers more younger and deeper.

Pau Gasol still has great value and will probably be traded during the off-season ...... the LAKERS needs more athletes, shooters and depth ....... something which rivals SPURS, THUNDER & CLIPS have stockpiled the past few years.

As for coach Mike Brown, the LAKERS will probably be stuck with him for the duration of his contract ..... he's shown very little changes from his stint with the CAVS - decent defensive sets & limited offensive sets.

Buss & Kupchak could have had coach Rick Adelman a year ago, but chose Mike Brown instead ..... Adelman would have made the LAKERS more dynamic offensively - instead of being the slowdown team they had this year.

@anya618

alam mo naman ang LA, hippity hop yo. ;D

^ that's a long post sir, but its Mike Brown's fault. I wish him out next season

there's no way Mike Brown will be replaced. he's a hiring of Jim Buss (son of Lakers owner Jerry Buss) and doing so would only show the entire world that he messed up being the guy behind the decision making process within the Laker organization itself.

kahit si Bynum, hindi nila matrade, kasi si Jim Buss din ang nag insist na siya ang i-draft back then.

because of Lebron and Kobe.  ;)

i wish OKC would win the championship, they truly deserve it IMHO.

kung Spurs, ok din.  :)

As long as Kobe's there, you can't really blow up the Lakers yet. To be honest, that already happened with the trades that they did during the deadline.

They should get an assistant couch who can design a better offense that plays to the Lakers strengths. No way they can get younger and more athletic by next year and be competitive. As it stands, they were the 3rd best team in the West and around 5th overall in the NBA this year.

+1

Mike Brown is a very good defensive coach, but he really sucks when it comes to offensive schemes.

What the Lakers need to do is make Bryant the #3 option in offense. Bryant needs to understand that he's past his prime and must give way. This will allow other players to develop.

A Harden/Bynum duo could be the Lakers future.

Hearing that James Harden wouldn't rule out the Lakers next summer.

CP3, Kobe, Howard on the Lakers can technically still happen. #2013

CP3/Kobe/Howard is a longshot. So was LeBron/D-Wade/Bosh.

Don't forget: Chris Paul wanted to be a Laker.

Seeing how Kobe and CP3 tried to carry both of their flawed teams against deeper teams and losing, who knows how they would have fared if they were in the same team?

If OKC doesn't retain James Harden, it would be a major setback for them.

I think that Mitch Kupchack is still one of the better GM's. I think he has a good eye for talent and knows when to move somebody out. Moving Odom out now seems good in retrospect as his personal problems would have detrimental to the Lakers as it was to the Mavs. He also drafted Marc Gasol before trading his rights to get his older brother. They will get better next year. However, the current coaching staff needs improvement.

he laid off the scouting staff last summer that had produced so much Lakers success over the years.

he's often criticized by a lot of people, just like James Dolan.

how i wish Jeanie Buss (Phil Jackson's gf) would run things in the Laker front office.

If Sloan is available...or Adelman...IMHO they're great choices for Lakers head coach...Sorry, I really do not like Mike Brown...and I hope if Fish retires this season, we'll eventually see him in the Lakers' bench at asst. coach...I'd like to see LO back in gold and purple uniform as well...Session will eventually "grow" with the team...I am sure they'll be back w/ a vengeance next year...at the very least, Bynum didn't do a clothesline again this time :D

Gaddamnit! The LAkers lost! Oh well. OKC was the better team, so, props to them for winning the series. Can't wait for next season and see who's gonna be wearing purple and gold.

I am picking San Antonio to win the WCF over OKC, though. That Spurs team is dangerously efficient in everything they do.

It will be interesting to see how SA will match up with OKC's trio of Westbrook, Durant and Harden.
Probably SA will have Westbrook shoot all he can (hayaan maging bwakaw) and have him self destruct in the end and just contain Durant and Harden.

I'm more interested in seeing the Harden/Ginobili matchup. Both play almost the exact same way.

Bring back ODOM, Shandon Brown and wait for the maturity of Sessions.
The Lakers are exhausted and they should do what the Spurs are doin right this season by pacing their old legs and keep them fresh in games all throughout the season.

Well, mukhang yung Pacers ang pupulutin sa kankungan... although a Miami Heat win would mean 3-2 pa lang... and still one more win needed.

But from what i see happening in the game right now, parang deflated na yung Pacers.

This will make someone here in this thread really happy. :p Hehe.

Miami is fired up right now offensively and defensively. 53.8% FG and 54.5% on 3 pointers while the Pacers are only a measly 34.3% FG and 29.4% on 3 pointers.

Miami up now by 20+ points on the 4th. ;D
