Miami Heat wins game 2

= 2 ''intellectual analysis'' posts as of this moment

The Heat did enough to get out with the W, notable difference is the aggressiveness of LBJ in driving to the basket and the remarkable contribution of Bosh. Surprise so far is Battier's contribution in the first two games, particularly the 3s.

OKC should quickly turn their game around at the start of the game. They can't be falling back big to start the game and hope they luck out in the 4th.

Excellent composure by Miami in the end to avoid another collapse. LBJ and Wade did what they were expected to do, but as mentioned in earlier posts - huge contributions from Bosh (especially on the glass) and Battier.

First playoff loss at home for OKC. Yep, mahirap ang naghahabol on the road, so they need to work on that energy from the opening tip-off.

Looking ahead, another interesting NBA Finals stat: Since Finals went to 2-3-2 format, series has been tied 1-1 12 times. Winner of Game 3 has always won the championship, except last year's Miami Heat, which won Game 3 at Dallas then lost 3 straight.

dpogs, you happy now?  ;)

Battier was clearly the stabilizer for the HEAT. Great 3 point shooting aside from the hassle and defense he always provide.
Bosh also made heavy contributions by scoring and rebounding in this win.

Bad game by Westbrook. If only he made 1/3 of all his missed attempts, 2-0 na sana ang OKC.
Never mind the judgement non call by the refs on LBJ on Durant, i think it was that crucial steal from behind by Chalmers on Westbrook that spelled the difference.

Following someone's intellectual logic, Miami won because OKC scored 4 less points.  ;D

I will just repost what I said before...

Now here's my analysis ( intellectual or emotional bahala na kayo ) :  OKC was the better team  down the stretch.  Coach Brooks made some crucial adjustments / plays much better than Spoelstra. They (Miami) just have to play consistent and brilliant basketball ALL GAME LONG.  For a while there Miami's game was clicking.  Tama ang spacing.   The shooters were open and hitting shots.  Lebron and Wade should really play more in the inside, especially Lebron.

So, dpogs, I expect our Miami team to be back strong and take Game 2, especially Lebron.  Remember the last time people wrote him off for a crucial Game 6 in Boston? 45 pts, 15 rebs & 5 assists. ;D ;D

Miami just played better, period.  And they played good Defense down the stretch.  LBJ was brilliant tonight -- 12 of 12 from the FTs, a great crucial bank shot down the stretch, plus one hell of a good D on KD. Could have been a foul but it was not, so nice D LBJ.  LBJ haters, watch out. This guy's on a mission.

1st loss of OKC at home in the Playoffs.  I told you the law of averages will catchup. And talking of catchup, I don't think OKC can win if they always play catchup basketball.  They need to play better in the first half if they want to stand a chance vs the Heat in Miami.

Who knows, baka tapusin na ng Miami ;D ;D  That's my emotional me talking...

Here's my intellectual me :  Let's take it one game at a time.  This series is VERY UNPREDICTABLE.  Let's enjoy the ride...

The problem with Miami in the first two games is that they let OKC creep back and make it a contest during the 4th. As much as OKC's adjustment now has to be starting strong, Miami's focus the next game should be ending stronger coz they know now that they can easily get the jump on OKC.

LBJ continues to feed the haters instead of him feeding off their hate. Let's see how this ends first.
