but i hate loading teams with superstars with the mentality that they can just steam roll over the entire league

yan din ang isang reason kung bakit maraming fanboys na sumakay sa bandwagon two years ago.

akala nila mag 82-0 in the regular season and 16-0 sa playoffs including the NBA Finals ang Heat. ;D

and we all know what happened last year.

after Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge acquired KG and Ray Allen to play with Paul Pierce to form the C's big three for the 2007-08 season, he made it a point to load their roster with role players in every position.

STARTING FIVE

PF- Kevin Garnett
SF - Paul Pierce
C - Kendrick Perkins
PG - Rajon Rondo
SG - Ray Allen

BENCH

PJ Brown
James Posey
Eddie House
Sam Cassell
Leon Powe
Tony Allen
Glen Big Baby Davis
Scot Pollard
Brian Scalabrine  :D

for me, that's a balanced roster right there. you can't say the same thing about last year's Heat, this year's version is slightly improved with the addition of Shane Battier.

with Lebron/Bosh (six-years, $110.1 million) and Wade (six-years, $107.5 million) eating Miami's cap space, Pat Riley can only fill out the roster with (i think) the mid-level and veteran's minimum. if im wrong on this one, please feel free to correct me.

as sir mattia pointed out, maybe the Heat can sign Steve Nash for next year, win or lose in this year's Finals.

With regards to LBJ being an amalgamated Magic and Air Jordan, it does look like it and then some. I would go out on a limb saying that LBJ is more athletic than MJ and has the vision of Magic. But...and here's the biggest BUT (hehehe)...James doesn't have the killer instinct or the competitiveness of both players. These two are ferocious competitors that just don't settle and would pounce on an opponent at every opportunity. And they will never, ever, shy away or vanish when the pressure's on.

Magic and Jordan (and I think even Larry Legend and the rest of the past superstars)admittedly shot down any notions of them thinking of doing a Superfriends type of gathering like the trio at Miami did. They are in unison that they wanted to beat the competition, not join them.

And if ever LBJ wins his first ring at Miami, that stigma of not being able to win anything by himself will be asterisked on him. Which is really ridiculous IMHO coz it is, afterall, a team game. But the perception of fans and critics alike will never change unless he does it "on his own".

things i like about Lebron

athleticism
chase down blocks
ability to drive to the basket with that 6'8-6'9 250lbs frame (same lang ba as athleticism? hehe)
his rapping ability? hehe

things i don't like about Lebron

lack of a consistent outside shooting touch
lack of that killer instinct like MJ and Kobe
work ethic?
childish antics
acts like a diva (sometimes)
snubbed my NY Knicks in the free agency of 2010
Maverick Carter (bad influence?)
World Wide Wes (bad influence?)

watch the Dream Team documentary.

one of them (or maybe it was Barkley or David Robinson) said that they were used to going up against each other, not playing with each other.

LOL on their first tune-up game against a select college team (Chris Webber, Grant Hill, Bobby Hurley, etc).

wala naman sigurong nag do doubt na lebron has truckloads of talent. slightly raw, that's why he needs to work on his game, free throws, jumpshots and post up moves. dyan na papasok yung how much does lebron want to win? jordan constantly worked on every aspect of his game to give him that edge. the larry legends, magic johnsons and the michael jordans knew what they were capable of and they used evry ounce of what they had to beat their competition, something that people say is lacking from LBJ's game. but IF he wins this championship, that's gonna be a big load off his shoulders. i always thought that james would have benifitted from playing college ball.

teka ano ba yang dream team docu na yan? pa share naman. hehehe

^ Yeah. It's early but Miami is constantly on attack mode and showing that they want it more with the hustle. OKC needs to pick up their energy.

OKC played like crap in the first halves of the first two games and they played toe-to-toe in today's first half. now Miami played ok overall in the 3rd and even outscored OKC by one point after a slow 3rd quarter start.

unexpected?

78-77 6 mins remaining. this is an ugly grin-it-out game.

pangit ng free-throw shooting ng Thunder 13/22.
