but i hate loading teams with superstars with the mentality that they can just steam roll over the entire league
yan din ang isang reason kung bakit maraming fanboys na sumakay sa bandwagon two years ago.
akala nila mag 82-0 in the regular season and 16-0 sa playoffs including the NBA Finals ang Heat.
and we all know what happened last year.
after Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge acquired KG and Ray Allen to play with Paul Pierce to form the C's big three for the 2007-08 season, he made it a point to load their roster with role players in every position.
STARTING FIVE
PF- Kevin Garnett
SF - Paul Pierce
C - Kendrick Perkins
PG - Rajon Rondo
SG - Ray Allen
BENCH
PJ Brown
James Posey
Eddie House
Sam Cassell
Leon Powe
Tony Allen
Glen Big Baby Davis
Scot Pollard
Brian Scalabrine
for me, that's a balanced roster right there. you can't say the same thing about last year's Heat, this year's version is slightly improved with the addition of Shane Battier.
with Lebron/Bosh (six-years, $110.1 million) and Wade (six-years, $107.5 million) eating Miami's cap space, Pat Riley can only fill out the roster with (i think) the mid-level and veteran's minimum. if im wrong on this one, please feel free to correct me.
as sir mattia pointed out, maybe the Heat can sign Steve Nash for next year, win or lose in this year's Finals.
