Watching Filoil tournament now.

Earlier, saw San beda vs NU. NU with Parks and Agora combo will be very dangerous!

Kagulo yung dalawang yun.

Now watching UST vs DLSU. gulat ako kay perkins. Wala na pala sa OKC, nasa DLSU na pala. Haha loko lang.

Perkins reminds me a mix of Willie Miller and Willy Wilson in one...good new addition to the Archers squad...

2 points yata o 1 point lang. Ray Parks sent the game to OT tapos missed free throws from d.semerad gave NU a chance to seal it in OT.

Has anyone seen the new la salle players? 2 filams daw kya lng ung 1 under residency pa, Magagaling daw.. NU I think will be the team to beat this year, but I'm not counting out ateneo because of kiefer, and the always dark horse, UST.. FEU still has the best backcourt for me.. Wala pa ko team sa UAAP, bka nxt year pa..

Wow, what a win. 71-70 off Art Dela Cruz's game winning play with 3.7 secs to go.

Those missed FTs and errors could have cost the Lions the game. Not a good game by SBC but a win is a win.

He's probably referring to Jason Perkins and Matt Salem. They have a lot of fil-ams doing residency. They also have Mbala from SWU who's doing residency and will play next year.

i'd rank them this way:
1.) UE - really scrappy. Sumang is the best pg in the league today. Charles Mammie is a good Center.
2.) UST - lacks a steady PG presence but still has the core of the team intact.
3.) NU - BRP would like to go out with a bang this year (i think he might move to the PBA and forego his playing year next year) and their new import Arroga is quite good.
4.) DLSU - anything less of a final four appearance would be another disappointment. With the way they have been stacking blue chip recruits over the years, it has to pay dividends.

Dark horse : Ateneo - never count out Kiefer and Ryan. Sorely lacking in the frontline department. They even had to reactivate a player to active duty who has not played competitive basketball for a few years as there are no serviceable big men to call up from Team B.

LPU Beats San Beda 70-66

Not a good start by the Lions this season. Could have been down 0-2 if not for that delacruz alley-oop winning shot. This is bad.

I heard from a reliable source that all is not well at the San Beda dugout. Seems like Coach Boyet Fernandez is putting the blame on his wards. Sabi daw nya di nya alam kung bakit hindi motivated ang players nya. I guess it's the coach's responsibility to motivate the players because this is college basketball.

One more loss and Coach Boyet should expect the worst for him

With FEU's season-opener win, Terrence Romeo must finally realize that team basketball gives you the best shot at winning a game.

Romeo (finally) passed the ball well and restrained himself from playing his usual hero-ball ...... his talent has always been evident (even during his HS days); but he has always played selfishly during big games ang close moments.

In some ways, no team deserved to win that game between UST & DLSU ...... very sloppy play and poor shooting from both teams.

It was like watching two UP MAROONS teams going at it.

Jeric Teng playing true to his senior stature ....... Vosotros still proving to be a poor man's version of JV Casio - he's always had the balls to take the shots, but consistency is still far off.

DLSU's sports agents in the US seems to have found a keeper in Perkins ...... good stroke and heady plays - all well within the offense of his team.

oh well. first time ateneo starts the season 0-2 since 2003. I still believe! Hopefully the injured players get well soon and start playing like they used to. Hopefully buenafe loses 10-15lbs to regain his mobility but he did quite well today given his current condition. 25points!++

Today? Db UAAP games are always scheduled on Thu, Sat and Sun?

why is this Buenafe guy always out of shape? If I am the coach I will sit this player out untill he gets to discipline himself and be concerned about his physicality.

Wednesday, Saturday, Sundays na ang games.

Ateneo lost to FEU today. They lost to NU last Sunday. They go up against DLSU this coming Sunday. Though first week for Ateneo. Might stare at a 0-3 start or even 0-4! @@

Kiefer sprained his ankle last friday and tried to play last sunday. He might have to undergo an MRI scan tomorrow just to be sure.

Kasi he took the words of the coaching staff too literal. To be an anchor of the team when they need someone to create offense when kiefer is on the bench. He took the words too literally and tried to anchor the team in weight. hehe.

Endorser kasi ng Greenwich pizza, parati lng pizza kinakain. hehe.

I actually don't know the answer!

there's a team nutritionist and trainer. as to why he's still overweight, beats me. He actually doesn't train with the team that much during summers. he's told to focus on studies and he usually gets to a bit of his "fighting" weight in the middle of the season and performs during finals. He surprises the opposing team during the semifinals and finals with his MVP performance.

Ryan has always been a BIG TIME player. Mataba, mabagal, say all negative words to him but in crunch time, all his critics simply shut up.
All i can say is he peaks up his game during the later stages of the tournament and he's just warming up early in the tournament.
Ateneo only needs to get into the Final 4 and Ryan will once again carry the Eagles to the championship.

That is his fighting shape. His build is like Noli Locsin but plays like a guard.

He ballooned to 50 lbs bigger than that at one point, when he was cut from the team due to academic issues.
