La Salle sweeps the 2nd round so NU will be No. 1. FEU and La Salle will have a playoff for the 2nd seed. UST and Ateneo on the 18th will be a knockout match.

there was a point in time that NU is the whipping boys of the league much like UP, pero ngayon sila na ang may twice to beat advantage, ang bilis tlaga ng panahon.

I like FEU on this year's F4.. DLSU may be the hottest team, but FEU's backcourt is/ will be unstoppable.. just my opinion..

btw alvin Teng has done a great job teaching his kids to be sport and play with all heart..

No doubt NU is gonna be a very tough team to beat twice in the Final 4 but still the Jarencio inspired UST Tigers will play their hearts out challenging the Bulldogs.
The virtua Best of 3 series between FEU & DLSU is another exciting series to watch. I like Terence Romeo but Jerone Teng is playing excellent basketball in the last few games.

IMO FEU fans should be wary ...... they do have the best backcourt, but both Garcia & (especially) Romeo has past tendencies to flip the switch and crash during the big games.

This Final 4 will be Romeo's one big chance ...... win and he'll validate that MVP, skyrocket his GILAS/PBA stock and more importantly, slay past epic failures ...... lose, he'll still be the trigger-happy, ball-hogging superstar.

DLSU is very dangerous as its in that enviable position of PEAKING at the right time. They're rolling and everyone looks confident during clutch moments.

NU is a question mark for me ....... the bright lights and attention can be killer to traditionally losing teams, suddenly thrust in the top seeds.

FEU is a family business of the Montinolas. They have been active in the UAAP Men's Basketball, through Anton Montinola, for quite awhile now. I'm not sure but I think Anton is also from Ateneo. Also, I think Lucio Tan is connected with UE but not sure if he really gives them enough funding.

It was a good knock out game, hats off to Ateneo for not giving up and putting up a good fight till the dying seconds. I like the Newsome-Ravena combo. I hope Newsome gets a bigger role offensive wise next year, he can definitely play at both ends.

Bilib din ako sa Teng boys, walang kapa-kapatid kapag nasa court & both competitive though for me mas angat ang game ni Jeron & can still be polished. I agree with the earlier posts, DLSU is peaking at the right time. This is gonna be an exciting final 4 this year with no particular team having a very definitive edge for me

Seriously, there's no monster team this season, unlike the past few ones wherein ADMU was heavily favored due to its loaded lineups ....... hence, any Finals match-up this year, is almost guaranteed to be close.

Right now, I'd give the slight edge to DLSU over the rest of the F4 cast ...... like I posted earlier, they are peaking at the right time - something very hard to contend with during the semis/Finals.

I feel that NU (Parks, especially) will cave in to pressure, either in the F4 or the Finals.

I like UST. I simply missed watching the Jaworski led never say die Ginebra teams.
Coach Pido has inherit that never say die attitude and completely implimented to his team.
Masarap panuorin ang UST but i hope they cant match up with the Bulldogs and beat them twice.

Rest in peace to a great coach and a dear friend. Coach Dong was my classmate in grade school at San Beda.

An ex-De La Salle Green Archer, Vergeire is also remembered as the coach responsible for giving St. Benilde its first and only NCAA title in 2000. He was also part of Aric del Rosario's coaching staff during the championship run of University Santo Tomas in the UAAP in the mid-90s.

Dong is 47 years old. Life is short.

Probably to put out the message that he was not an impotent king tiger? =))

Hopefully NU wins the championship this year as a fitting farewell for BRP leaving for the pros next year. this is their best chance in years to get the championship. Unless of course, their import arroga improves dramatically and becomes more efficient than mbe then they have a better chance next year (on second thought, next year might be DLSU's banner year in Basketball).
