Hello there, mayroon na ba sa inyo nagka-experience ng mag-washed out ang display ng lcd tv? My samsung lcd tv (bought Nov 2006, 32 inches, Bordeaux series) display suddenly became washed out. I tried turning it off and on again. The display returned to normal but after a minute the display became washed out again. On the average, how much ang repair sa samsung authorized service centers ngayon?

my 4 years old 32r81b (bought may 2007) has the same symptom 4 months ago. nong dinala ko sa samsung service center sa paranaque, and diagnosis is defective na ang t-con board. ang problema di na available yong t-con so wala ng chance marepair yong tv ko.
ang good news (nalaman ko sa service center) may guarantee pala ang samsung na dapat repairable pa ang lcdtv nila 5 years from the date of purchase. since within 5 years period pa yong tv ko, iniapply nong service center for compensation (that's how they call it, its like asking for rebate) ang requirement lang kelangan mapresent ko yong receipt. nawala ko na yong receipt pero naayos pa rin kasi pinatrace namin sa samsung yong warranty card and nasa record nga na almost 4 years pa lang yong tv ko.
in short after more than a month of waiting and follow ups naapproved yong request for compensation nong tv ko. they pulled out the tv and after a week they deposited a check to my bank account amounting to Php 29,945. not bad for a 4-year old tv! i spent only Php200 for the service center diagnosis at konting sakit ng ulo kakafollow up, kasalanan ko rin kasi nawala ko na yong resibo.
since nov 2006 pa magpa 5 years yang tv mo baka maihabol mo pa. sana lang may copy ka pa ng original receipt. yan kasi ang proof na less than 5 years pa yang tv mo. pag sinabing wala ng available parts yong tv mo para marepair, ikaw na mismo ang magtanong sa kanila kung qualified pa ba yong tv mo for compensation kasi hindi lahat ng service center sasabihin sa yo yong about compensation. hindi ko alam kung hindi talaga nila alam o ayaw lang nilang sabihin sa customer. kung taga south area ka, wag na wag kang pupunta sa las pinas service center (weatronics) kasi sa kanila ko unang dinala yong tv ko ang sabi agad palit panel. since same street lang sila ng paranaque (lenwon) idineretso ko don at sila nga ang nagsuggest ng compensation. goodluck!
