Topic: Need advice on interconnect

hello mga sirs,

     got these acrotec interconnects. yun isa natatanggal na yun shield and the other is an unknown model to me. it has a thorens name to it but i couldn't find any info from the net. hope you guys could help me. thanks in advance.


1) paano ba ito maayos? kita na yun copper shields.


2) this pair, i have no information.

The acrotec IC, it's only the cloth outer mesh that peeling off not the copper shield. You can put nylon mesh over it, but if you're not DIY guy you can take it to tech guy or elec. shop to fix it.

The 2nd cable with "Thorens" print could be specs made for thorens comp. makers  of thorens turntable.

Pre, normally the shield is only connected to one side, on the other floating ito. You could open the connectors to check. The side with the shield soldered should be connected to the source component.

You can use Shrink Wrap which is available at ACE Hardware to cover/repair the cover

To make it more tidy to look at disassemble nalang the damage area then cut a little portion of the mesh then re-solder it. If it's just a lock & tight type RCA connector then the easier to do.

thanks guys for the advices.  the copper shields are soldered but didn't notice both ends. at least i know now the direction of these ICs. for the mesh, i'll buy it this weekend and will tidy it up. (sorry mga sirs, walang ace hardware dito. will have to go to sim lim tower)

just OT,  dami pang ICs nung uncle na binilhan ko. ang binili ko talaga yun Acrotec 6N-A2050.
