Guys, nakakatempt etong Samsung PS51D450 plasma tv because of its size and price (around p38k) pero ang drawback sakin is its only HD ready. need your comments please lalo na sa mga makakuha nito. will be using this 40% movies, 40% gaming, 10% as pc monitor and 10% as local tv (soon to subscribe HD skycable).

+ 1 here..gusto ko rin malaman kung sulit ba 'to..

40% gaming (PS3)
40% movie (dvd, nmt, bluray)
20% local tv with air antenna (no cable as of the moment)

hindi ba masyadong mainit ang unit na to na mag aala "warmer"? will put it sa sala (no aircon) and how's the screen? is it too reflective? any buzzing sound? thanks!

It's NOT warm at all. I dont feel it even when Im very close from the plasma tv. It's great with movies and didnt have issues playing my movies files on my hdd. Playing HD movies is superb.... Kita mo flaws ng mga 3d movies, like AVATAR na sobrang halata ang CGI. I havent tried sa games yet and will not try it all i guess. I suppose it should work perfectly but they said u might get screen retention from playing games....

i didn't buy this unit. i decided to buy the LG 42LW5000 and i'm not dissappointed (at this time).

May I ask ano ang pinag-iba ng LW5000 sa LW5700? Saw an ad at sulit and around 20k din ang difference 50k vs 70k for 42" variant!!!

smart 3D tv lang un LW5700. pero pareho silang 3d TV. gusto ko lang kasi panuoran ng 3d movies kaya un 42LW5000 pinili ko. kung sa browsing naman kasi puede naman iconnect ang laptop o pc sa TV.

Note: un mga apps na madodownload mo sa smart tv, merong libre at meron ding may bayad...

What do you mean po dun sa "Note" part mo? I am more inclined to buy the 5000 because yung internet capability ng 5700, ma-rereplicate yun even by attaching a bluray player with internet capability as well.

tanung ko lang sa mga sammy owners ok ba tong plasma na to for the ff:

40% gaming (PS3)

I came from a Pana plasma then switched to the 51 inch Sammy. Wala nako problems with image retention ng Pana. So for me Sammy over Pana.

Hey Guys, Kinda new with Plasma.. Also wondrin if this Samsung 51D450 is okay. I am also considering Samsung 43 D490 w/c comes with 3D glasses and a blu-ray player for P34K sa SnS. At this point not really sure which one to get. My wife and I loves to watch HD movies and play Xbox 360.. A professional input would be a big help.. Thanks in advance!!

been contemplating panny 42x30 over sammy ps43d490 any advice sir since this is the first time I'll be getting a 3d plasma. Is it ok to watch local cable viewing? and how long can I use it in a day to prevent anything bad that will shorten the life span of plasma.

I think 450 is HD ready, 550 is full HD for one, for 51" both are great buys.

di na kaya ang D550 sobra na sa allocated budget eh..kasi nga initially i was planning on getting the D450 but then i saw the D490 and medjo pasok pa pag talagang sinagad ang budget..sa akin naman kasi as of now am not really particular pa sa 720 and 1080 kasi i dont usually notice the difference on my viewing distance..

Main difference lang ng 490 sa 450 is the 3d feature. Kung pasok pa sa budget mo un 490 then Go for it.

I have this tv. I gave my 40" LED to my in-laws kasi na flood sila dahil kay sendong. Anyway about your questions, im using this on my xbox 360 and playing movies (720 and 1080, dvd, bluray). It has excellent picture quality and colors for its price point big leap sa PQ from my LED and i really hate the flashlighting sa corners on my LED. PS3/Xbox gaming superb!!! about IR di naman lagi nakababad yung mga HUD lagi. Im playing Skyrim and tested Darksouls no IR for me since lagi naman ako nag-eenter sa in-game inventory and menus LOL! SD quality movies and cable tv are good too.

720 vs 1080 not much difference since im viewing at around 8ft - 10ft away sa tv. IMO makikita mo lang difference ng 720 and 1080 if you are viewing less than 6ft sa tv and above 55" na mga sizes. Im loving this tv bang for the buck

yes the tv can accept 1080p from my xbox 360 but i think the tv is downscaling it to 720p. tried 720p and 1080p same movie wala naman difference

best viewing experience talaga ng 1080p is 55" pataas and besides "most HD content" available is 720p anyway and sa Cignal 720p/1080i yung mga HD channels
