Check all control and switches for any noise. Ask them to open up the cover (if they will allow this) and see for any sign of repair or burn marks. Burn mark is a sign an over heating component. Also check for bulging and leaking capacitors.

Listen for any distortion while playing music. Play with the switches and control, see if everything is working fine. Let the amp play music for awhile as some of the problem while only show up when the amp starts to heat up. And if you can, bring a test disc wherein you could listen accurately to the left and right channel to hear if they sound both equal.

halos lahat ng amps namin surplus, hehe, wala kasing perang pambili.

here are they:

Denon PMA-930 (my Favorite, cleanest sounding amp sa line up ko)
Denon AVR-1980
Denon Avr-2800
Yamaha RX-V2090

mura lang lahat ng kuha ko dyan, wala pa sa 12K lahat yan

Mabigat at hindi gaanong maporma. Kapag sinilip mo yaring tanso iyung kaha at mga heatsink tapos dambuhala mga capacitor at transformer tapos presyong halos konti lang lagpas sa abot kaya, huwag ka ng mag-alinlangan bilhin mo na. O hindi kaya i-reserve mo na at utangin mo na ang kulang. Kunin mo na agad baka may makauna pa sa iyo.

+100... Pwede ipa open sa kanila yung top cover para malaman kung Ok pa laman loob, last audition mo at kailangan functional lahat pati maliit na button para lalo mas sulit.

Depende sa brand at wattage brader, sa little chatty's medyo mas mura lalo na dun sa may dulo at kanan ka... pwede ka maki pag baratan lalo na't kung marami bibilhin mo.

sir, Usually they are being sold in some ads and in some Ukay-Ukay(electronics). They go around 2000 to around 10000 pesos. I bought my amps from a friend who sells surplus amps from The USA or japan.

bro daiguru, sige try ko dumaan, naka schedule kasi kami ng October na punta sa Divisoria, daan kami don pag pauwi na, hanap ako ng int amp na medyo malakas gamitin para sa labas ng bahay pag meron okasyon, pag walang makita tuloy na ako sa raon para bumili ng amp for that purpose. Thanks!

mga sirs..curious lang po ako kung magkano bentahan nang mga defective amps sa pier?...yung mga high end models na sira e.g no power, no sound etc but with complete innards pa..

may pag-asa pa ba ito ma.repair or pang per kilo nalng sa junk shop?..hoping for your feedback coz I am planning to get one from a seller but hesitated kasi baka no chance to revive the amp na..it's a Sansui AU907F ..worth the risk po ba bumili nang ganitong mga item?

From Anda circle (ito yung rotonda joining Roxas Blvd., Intamuros, C3 tapos yung isang leg going to Pier-Surplus stores). Palatandaan yung BIR Bldg., from here matatanaw mo na yung mga Stalls or Shops where surplus electronics can be found.
