  Kayang kaya mo yan bro, ako nung una dinadala ko pa sa technician yung pala iisprayan lang tapos sisingilin ako ng mahal. At saka lagi mong pipihitin ang mga control esp. the volume at least 3x week khit di mo ginagamit para maiwasan ang cracking. Experience ko na yan bro.

if you are a purist, then it might be good to start searching for the matching sansui pre-amp. if not theres a multitude of pre-amps out there to try from Solid state to tubes...

Klipsch reference  RB-3 is a very good speaker, because of high efficiency you don't need a much higher wattage amps. Match this with tube pre-amps (hybrid) or use tube buffer on your CD output makes a good start.\While using tube amps is the excellent match for this speakers

Di naman ako ganun kaselan pagdating sa sounds pero syempre kung mas maganda ang sound ng peir products compare sa mga china brand sa Raon eh much better i'll go for surplus. Please give me advice I.m planning to buy this saturday with a 15k-20k budget. TIA.

I'm no master bro, pero istorya ko lang sa iyo ang ginawa ko, noong nakita at natesting ko si marantz PM90, iniwan ko muna sya, internet agad ako, ni review ko ang capability,specs, reviews, etc, and best of all, ikinunsulta ko dito sa surplus amp thread, at dahil sa payo ng mga members, nabili ko sya and enjoying very much the surplus amp ,for me, I prefer good condition branded surplus amps than .... happy hunting

   Well makakatipid ka if sa pier ka bumili but beware dapat may kasama kang marunong. O kaya dapat may agreement kayo na anything happens, may warranty cya. Happy hunting!

From experience, effective ang a907 series mag-drive ng big woofers -- 15-inch types. Kaya nuon JBL-4430 (now bi-amped with a pair of Sansui AU-X11s) ang nakakabit sa a907iMos ko. Ngayon yung Technics SB-7000 na. Maganda rin ang resulta. Kayang-kaya niyang palabasin yung deep bass ng big woofers di tulad ng iba kong amplifiers, even those rated 160wpc and above in RMS, parang bitin mag-drive ng big woofers.

Depende yan, nasa room ko yung Luxman SQ-38FDII, which is a premium tube amp, but I did sell low (lugi!) my Sansui AU-70 and Wired State Tono.

That means, I'm more of the solid state type since I like alpha 907 series a lot, better than the Sansui AU-X series or even the Luxman 550, a classic pure A amp. The AU-X, by the way, is regarded as tube-sounding by audiophiles in the US. It's described by Sansui enthusiasts as a purists' amp, pero manipis ang tunog para sa akin for a 160wpc 30-kg amp.

Also, among my favorite combinations are SS-based: Yamaha B3 Vfet with Epos 14; and Sansui AU-D907 Limited with DCM TimeWindow.

Siguro yung hardware preference, depende sa music na pinakikinggan. I like folk and folk-rock, vintage pop as well as big sound chamber music, or choral pieces for my gears in my living room, malakas ang volume. Acoustic/vintage and electronic jazz as well as classic strings and piano are usually played in my room.

I'm close to 40 years into this hobby by the way.

Thanks Sir Sandawa, sabi nila magastos daw ang tube amp. Batay sa paliwanag nyo stay muna ako sa ss amp. tutal nakapakinig na ako ng mga tube amp to my friends at sa pakiwari ko di pa rin sila satisfied. Parehas tayo Sir ng type ng music like slow rock and vintage pop music. Nasanay na ang tenga ko sa a907 kaya pag napakinggan ko yung ibang amp ay medyo nakukulangan ako.
