Yes, I have a Sansui but I gave it to a cousin when I left, maganda kasi ang reviews ng KT8300 sa fmtuner.com and could have been one of my best buy based on initial agreement namin. I'm saving the best brands for last.

madami din for sale mga yan dito and at e-bay kaya lang madugo presyo, marami kasing enthusiast dito. Inuuna ko lang muna yung medyo kaya pa ng budget.

mga bro, anong magandang panglinis ng body ng amp para magmukhang bago? lalo na siguro sa mga surplus amps na kailangan pakintabin.yung iba kasi alloy body at yung iba kasi painted ng black diba, any experienced mga bro? gusto ko kasi magmukhang bago yung old amp ko na kulay black.thanks

I spray and wipe dirty metal cases with WD-40 fluid. For comparatively cleaner ones, I apply Pledge.

I use dry or damp cloths, cotton buds for hard to reach areas, for stubborn stains I use lighter fluid or Isoprophy alcohol 70% (alcohol is safer) but use it with caution preferrably on metal surfaces only and not to plastics like acryllic faceplates.

if you know how to dismantle the feceplate and remove the top cover. then the best way to clean will be wash it with detergent soap and water to remove the grime and dirt.. then wipe it dry.

MC cleaner or Wipe out, usually nabibili sa mga sm hardware ito for cleaning appliance and others.

bro, be careful in using wipe out, yan ang usually na nagiging dahilan kaya nabubura ang mga letra sa faceplate, MC's fine.

Baka wipe out "everything" !

I believe wipe out is water based while mc is oil based, kaya safer parin ang mc specially for metal casing of amps. Wipe out is intended for pc plastic parts kasi ata at baka may bleach para pumuti uli ung white plastic.

Oh by the way, anybody here has tried or own a Yamaha ax-700 semi vintage integrated amp? Can you please post your analysis of its performance. Read some good reviews on it but not sure enough. Tnx

You guys are really lucky to get those amps at surplus prices. They were also my dreams when starting out in this hobby decades ago like the early Onkyo Integra M-class power amps with those huge VU meters and those from Technics and Luxman. Properly cared for, they are timeless, both as works of art and performance. Just reading their specs show how relatively pathetic the power amp sections in most HT receivers have these days.

Anyone seen this at the pier? The Onkyo Integra M504?

Indeed. I like those large soft-lighted VU meters dominating the facade These days, most power amps have nothing on their front panels, except a lighted power switch.
