That's actually a Technics and a very good amp. Technics, Panasonic, National, and Ramsa, among others, are brands that belong to Matsus**ta Electric. BTW, Matsus**ta also owns Japan Victor and its international brand JVC.

It is 100wpc at 6 ohms
 Weighs 21kg! :o
 Dual mono design.
Now, that is an amp! 8)
 Congrats bro! :)

Thank you Sandawa and Nelson O. Actually, I have 2. I acquired my first unit last year, and was impressed by its performance. When I came across another, very mint, unit last month, I didn't hesitate in buying :D
I also have a similar amp, the Technics SE-M100 (poweramp with built-in DAC) and another Panasonic, model SU-VX800.

 Hi Reymer,

 SE-M100 is a 100wpc/class AA/35kg? (i'm not sure)
You got beautiful Technics amps collections bro!
Btw, you said that your other amp is SU-VX800....
Maybe you meant SU-A800, but i may be wrong....

hi Nelson O,
Yes, Im a Technics Fan ;D
Its really Panasonic SU-VX800, I think its 120wpc. I also has balanced inputs.
Here are the actual pics

My Technics SE-M100

(inside pic taken from the net) note the similarity with the Panasonic except for the caps and encased DAC

 Wow! :o
 Ang kinis bro!
Magaganda na mga model, makikinis pa!
I have only one Technics in my collection,
 It's the lowly SU-3400
But, it's working perfectly and all original parts despite its age.
It is a laidback sounding amp.

Yes, laidback sounding but still very detailed. For me, they still sound better than the newer, popular brand amps available that I've tried ;)

 Hi Reymer,

Is that a Marantz preamp underneath the SE-M100 powamp?
By the mere glance of its knobs ;D

Thanks!

My dilemma also. There are protrusions around the binding posts and no contacts for spade lugs, while standard banana plugs are too loose at the rear holes of the posts. Very time-consuming having to pull out the wires from spade/banana plugs and thread the bare wires when you want to change amps. I hope our gurus here have some solutions :).

Unless you are willing to replace the speaker terminals, I think there's no other way but to use bare wire :(. All my vintage amps do not accept banana plugs or spade lugs either.

Kung may butas yung speaker connector terminals, para talaga sa pin-type. Kung walang butas, pang bare wire siya. But if you want to use pin, magpuputol ka. Unlike the cheap pins, the branded ones are connected line banana plugs, meron ding butas at screw to accommodate various wire sizes, so madali rin magtanggal.

I wish I could post photos of some of my hooked vintage amps using long (mostly Yamaha power amps) and short pins (old Accuphase, Sansuis and Luxmans) kaya lang nasa Maynila ako ngayon.

if you dont want to tamper your amp or want it preserve for possible future resell,
what you can do is to make a temporary adaptor connector temporarily fixed to  the amp.
Buy the speaker connector that you prefer accdg to your need.
Solder a short pair of speaker wires to your preferred connector (at the back preferably) and then the other ends stripped of bare wire (these you connect to your amp's original speaker connector 'semi-permanently for the time being youre enjoying your amp...).Insulate the expose soldered metal part of your connector to avoid touching the bare amp chassis.Try to temporarily, fix this adaptor jig via wire wrap or equivalent  using chassis holes/screws as 'anchor'.
If you plan to resell in the future, just remove this temp jig speaker connector preserving your amp in its orig condition...(buyers usually prefer stock condition...)
sorry guys, no pictures (too busy these holidays...)...just use your imagination based on what i described above.

 ;)

Right place, right time..  :)
You really feel it kung naka swerte ka. It happened again to me last Thursday at MCS.
Was just passing by looking for cd/dvd and went in this store at basement. Naka lapag sa isang tabi, naka balot ng plastic, got curious and saw it was a Marantz PM-84D in pristine condition, parang NOS  :o. from a collector also sabi ni Richard (you know him) but does not want to tell me who or if owner is a member of this forum. Any ways, isang tawaran lang sa tex, tapos ang boxing..
To the previous owner, sir if you are a member, please send me PM. I would like to thank you personally.
Thank you sir. NOS looking na   8), NOS sounding pa  :o. and best of all, at PIER price pa!!!! :-* parang pang HiFi-Do
