SONY BDP S480 (110volts)
« on: Jan 08, 2012 at 11:36 AM »
Mabuhay!

I recently bought a bluray player and enjoyed very much the high quality pictures it was able to produce. I just have certain challenges that needs some  experts' advise :

1) I tried updating the player by connecting it with my smart broadband (wired) alas, it says cannot establish a network connection.  Or how do i update the player? i read the manual but i did what it said i should do  :( Tapos, down pa lagi ang Sony website.  :(

2) Do you know any HTIB that has co-axial input/output? I really want a 5.1 system. Someone suggested that I should invest in an audio/video receiver, of course, maganda naman talaga kapag may ganoon but its still pricey for me and baka sa lakas ng sounds eh ipa-barangay kami dito hehehehe. Kaya kung may alam po kayong HTIB na may coaxial i would want to know about it.  ;D

Anyway, the player is connected to a PV80 set.

I thank you in advance for any response.

Advance Valentine's Day and Kung Hei Fat Choi

Godbless

download mo ung update sa sony site (us site)
save mo sa usb flash drive (extracted file)
saksak mo sa usb sa likuran ng player

Anyway, my nabasa ako dati na parang pwedeng magpasadya ng ganitong system. Well, is that possible?

I thank you in advance for any response.  :)

Mabuhay!

I tried changing the sound settings of my TV pero ganoon pa din. Ito po ba ay isa sa mga challenges kapag ang TV at bluray player magkaibang brand?

I thank you in advance for any response. Godbless

If i'm not mistaken. for the voice to become clear.....There is a setiing in the Sony bd player for the voice to be heard. switch that to on.... you'll get to hear the voice clearly the effect at the back ground. That's what i did with my Toshibe SD-2700 ....scan the menu on your bd player...Then tell me how it turns out. good luck! :)

My ISP is also SMARTBro. But my unit (Sony BDP-S550) after an initial tweaking, automatically detects the connection and prompts me to update the firmware every time there is a new one available. Done this updating twice already using wired connection. I used to do this using a burned CD, but it turns out firmware updating via direct internet connection is more convenient. Please check your manual, you may have missed something
