How about adding USP-1 to the chain? Maraming nagandahan sa matching nya with ERC-1 pag dating sa 2ch. audio tapos HT bypass na lang pag gagamitin ang UMC-1. Para mabawasan din ang harshness sa highs. Pwede din experiment na lang sa cables (if you believe in those).

dts, i thought about it kaso since i do less 2ch. music nowadays, i figured i'd just spend on those things i really need.

gears lang ang may muscle ha! ako konti lang nyehehe.. it's a big plus that the wifey is a big fan of movies as well so in a way naiintindihan nya (well, most of the time) yung aking upgraditis..

the DD/DTS sign hangs over that entrance to the basement and yes most houses in Canada have basements. i might put up diffusers or acoustic panels sa ceiling in the future. pinag iisipan ko pa.

the dyns do sound sweet! those are more than 12 years old and they still sound great. you can play then loud and they never complain

thanks, guys. i actually got the emotiva gear like 6 months ago (which replaced a NAD T 572 receiver) and painted this room 3 months ago. was waiting for the right time to take these pics so when i got the projector last december, sabi ko this is the perfect time.

the NAD receiver sits in my family room upstairs which i use for either karaoke or casual 2-ch audio listening (Airplay via AppleTV from my iPhone/iPad) or Netflix (my wife watches her favorites shows here). a NAD T512 DVD player, a pair Polk Audio RTi A3s and an Energy ESW-C10 subwoofer completes this budget system of mine.,

Fuller yung sound ng Emotiva compared sa NAD receiver as it has a lot more clean power. The highs are a bit brighter though you can control it via EmoQ if you prefer. I just got used to it. It runs cooler as well even if you use it for like 8 hours straight at near reference levels. Very efficient use of power talaga. My old NAD parang plantsa yung ibabaw even after like an hour of use.

Here's a good explanation bet. both: Imagine 2 weight lifters, the first one can lift a maximum of 200 lbs. with two hands for ONLY 10 seconds (NAD). The 2nd one (Emotiva) can lift 200 lbs. with one hand for 2 hours and not even break a sweat.
