in 1994, my repair shop in Pasig was also broken into, the thieves carted away an Akai open reel deck, a TT, two Leach super amps, a Sansui cassete deck, some hand tools and a multitester, hindi pinatulan yung mga tv's na gawa na....
funny thing was that the thief advertised my amp in the "buy and sell" magazine, the amp had the name "TECSON" on the from facia, one had VU meters and the other was just anodized black....he passed these amps as US made...
i was even able to talk with the thief over the phone and i asked for an audition, he was somewhere in Mandaluyong, near Pasig river....
so i asked assistance from the Pasig police and we went to Mandalyung for a look see....along the way, the policemen saw some jerks gambling along the roadside and accosted them and confiscated the money's..
that might have tipped off the culprit, wala na kaming inabutan, a caretaker allowed us into the house but they must have carted the stolen amps away to safety....it looked like the theif had a band....
sorry for ranting, but i thought i needed to share this incident from which i never recovered and had to look for an overseas job as an OFW....in a way, nakabuti rin, i was able to see my kids thru college and they are now earning their own money...
me karma yan, babalikan sila in another way, in another time......
