Amx preamp and power amp have there respective signature sound it have dynamics, depth, imaging, soundstage and sweetness you'll love.... its a matter of taste na lang and budget you can afford.. 
but comparing it with dynaco and scott mmh mahirap magsabi kung alin ang pangit sa kanila..

nice to have lahat kaso you can only get one or two (if budget permits get everything
), dahil dalawa palang ang amp di ka na magkandatuto kung sino ang pakikinggan. each amp has it's own signature sound. does'nt necessarily mean that all amx models sound the same. each model has a distinct sound to it as this is also applicable to those branded tube amps. actually, as everyone knows, palitan mo nga lang yung tubes ng ibang brand dun sa amp, nagbabago tunog
. we've even tested akyat's con toDo preamp with exotic NOS tubes, all i can say, WOW
inggit ako sa preamp nila!
