nice amp sir andrew, thanks for letting me borrow it.... i listened at low volume up to 3am in the morning, typical volume constraint in my living environment.... speakers used were mordaunt-short 908 and wharfedale diamond 9.1, source used were SACD, DVD-A and CD with a pioneer 733A.
sound was refined, the mids & highs are very natural, not once did it sound harsh; and bass goes pretty low at moderate volume (Ann Sally has lots of low bass).... mids/highs are similar to my Duntonic amp, though at louder volume it has more power reserve and a bit faster.... Jazz at the Pawnshop had a lot of ambient detail and the instruments have good separation..... i would have liked to spend more time on critical listening, but decided to just enjoy it, played Ray Charles, Linda Rondstadt, Natalie Merchant, Buble, Connick, Ono, Teng, Mishka Adams, etc. etc. etc. etc....... after months of analog, digital makes a comeback in my listening room.
