*Rockets likely to amnesty Scola, Mavs are reportedly after him
*The Rockets will soon have the space to absorb Orlando's Dwight Howard, Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu, Chris Duhon and Epcot Center. @WojYahooNBA  :D
*Pacers sign Augustin for one year

Yes that is why my "vote" is with the 1992 Team. :)

I side with Barkley with the age thing. I side with Jordan with the "we are smarter" thing.

I don't believe a team consisting of Harden, Westbrick and ... Melo can beat a Jordan led dream team.

i really don't understand about this so-called freak of nature LBJ. he had a tough time against an ageing boston celtics crew, a team made up of some players that jordan just dismissed handily when he was still in the league. people are acting as if Lebron cannot be stopped. which just is not true

Remember that those Celtics are athletic as well compared to the players of the 80s. Even an aging KG and Paul Pierce would've ran rings around those 80s defenders.

On a different note:

Man, Team USA is fast! And I love watching the full court pressure defense.

out na pala si blake griffin due to knee injury, he is replaced by rookie anthony davis.

i think james harden shouldnt have made the cut, dapat si rudy gay yun to add more length.

correct.sana kung nanjan sila d.rose and howard sa line-up..

dapat Hibbert (para meron silang inside defense at for offensive rebounds), Aldridge (may perimeter shooting sya and for rebounds din), Bynum (sya dapat pinalit kay Howard), Rondo (gumanda kasi laro niya this past season), Amare (dagdag pang depensa)

The last thing I would describe both Pierce & KG in this stage of their careers is athletic.  ;D

A 36yr old KG and a 34yr old Pierce against still in their prime Bird, McHale, Parish, a youthful Ainge and a still effective DJ? Both won't be able to run rings around those guys let alone score on isolation. Even the vaunted showtime lakers probably the fastest team in the 80's couldn't consistently run rings around a still in their prime Celtic team.

Could they do that when defended by MJ, Pippen and Rodman?

Maybe they're after his versatility, he can play Guard and Point Forward..

Yeah Harden is indeed more versatile.  Also Harden has a penchant for creating his own shot or make a play for someone else.

Kyrie Irving vs. Kobe Bryant na!

Kyrie Irving challenges Kobe Bryant to a game of 1-on-1 after a USA Basketball team training session.

pusta pusta! :D

this is the reason why I will always admire Kevn Durant, being an excellent player that he is, i dont think I read anything negative about his character and conduct in or out of the playing court.I hope this is so or really, or I just missed reading things before?

^ Yup .... looks like Durant is the real-deal ..... a grown man who isn't ashamed about being a momma's boy.

Best indicator about Durant's great attitude, so far ...... his contract extension was devoid of any drama or any negativity - somewhat rare for the superstar age of the NBA.

Kobe :  "The fact is, they have [Patrick] Ewing and [David] Robinson and those big guys, it's tough. If you're asking me, 'Can you beat them one game?' Hell yeah, we can beat them in one game. You didn't ask me if we could beat them in a 7-game series. In one game, we can beat them. No question about it."

Kobe is being Kobe.  He's such a competitor and he wants to win.  Jordan should realize this by now.  Why the overreaction MJ? And besides, if you paid attention to what Kobe said, he just said he can beat them in a game, not in a 7 game series.  So he still respects the Dream Team and believes he couldn't really beat them in a real series.  But one game?  Surely.

I think the better reaction of Jordan should've been :  Hell yeah, that's a good attitude from Kobe.  Basketball has evolved since 1992 and it's good if these guys can beat us.

But knowing Jordan, talagang pumapatol yan.  Di rin papatalo tulad ni Kobe.  But sus naman, MJ what have you got to lose? You have nothing to prove.  You're the greatest basketball player ever. Pagbigyan mo na si Kobe.  The guy wants to win for team USA, for cryin out loud.

Kobe is a bad dog.  Tama lang sagot nya kay MJ :  So what?  You know I'm a bad mother%^&**.

Uhm no. I don't get the reaction you got from a ball player trying to get a one on one game from another player. ;D

I hope you are not insinuating Kyrie is "bad" because he challenged Kobe? :)

what im saying is Durant, though an excellent player does not enage in things like that, challenging someone, calling out on people, telling the USA Team today can beat the Dream team before, he is low keyed, does not speak much and just let his game speak for him.

Scottie Pippen's comments about the 2012 USA basketball team

Quote
I think we could probably beat this team by 25,'' Pippen said while watching Team USA destroy the Dominican Republic in an exhibition game on Thursday. ''I'll go out on a limb and say that.''
