Parang mga remaining games ng regular season lang yan.  Once you lock the top seed, you still try to win the rest of the way.  But not at the expense of revealing too much or possible injury.  Hinay hinay lang ang laro.  But you still intend to win.

Spain actually played inspired basketball during the first half and early in the third.  They defended well, forcing errors from Team USA.  I thought Ibaka played a monster of a game.  Tama kayo, kulang sa height ang Team USA.  So dinadaan nila sa bilis at athleticism.  Buti na lang super athletes sila.  Compared to the 1992 Dream Team, mas may height ang Dream Team and most have the "smarts" rather than the athleticism.  The likes of Bird, Jordan, Magic, Barkley have more "diskarte" than, say, Westbrook, James, Durant & others.

Nung lumamang na ang Team USA, medyo di na humataw masyado ang Spain.  I didn't even see Marc Gasol play, did he?  So it might be that Spain held off but let's remember, we have not yet seen the best of Team USA either. Parang nagpapakiramdaman pa etong mga ito eh.  Once they jell, I don't think they can be beaten.

Kudos to Anthony and James who connected from rainbow territory.  In international games, I still believe that the key is the outside shot.  Especially if your team lacks height.

spain played their game pero hindi sila maghahapit just to win a warm up game. like i said ang pressure ay nasa US team. they can't afford to lose kahit warm up game, ganun katindi ang bitbit ng US team. anything short of a gold medal is a disappointment. gayahin ko na lang si wade, relax sa pag bake ng cake habang nanonood ng olympics  8)

It would be better for them to just shut him down the entire year. With the current lineup that they have it doesn't make sense to bring him back for the playoffs and rely on him to produce. Knowing the competitive nature of Rose he will do whatever it's takes for the him to carry his team and it might just lead to him reinjuring his knee.

Fate can really be cruel..just a couple of months ago they were the #1 seed coming in the playoffs and have everything mapped out to go deep in the playoffs with a weak Eastern conference save for Miami and Boston. Rose then popped his knee and there goes that championship hopes of Chicago for the next two years. By the time Rose gets into form who knows if they still have the other pieces to complement him like Boozer, Deng, Noah etc.

di ba sa chicago din yung magaling na PG na ha disgrasya dahil sa motor, di na sya nakabalik ulit sa dating laro after that. ???

Jay Williams from Duke University

he violated a term in his Bulls contract which prohibited him from riding a motorcycle. the Bulls didn't have an obligation to pay him, so he was waived when it was obvious that he wouldn't be able to play for a long time because of his injuries.

It was Jay Williams. After he broke his pelvis, ACL and lacerated the main nerve on his thigh because of the crash he was given 3M by the Bulls and then subsequently waived. Though the Bulls technically dont owe him anything because he violated a clause in his contract re riding motorcycles, they are kind enough to give him a pabaon so to speak for his rehab. They then drafted Kirk Hinrich who became their starting PG for 6 years until Rose came along. Now that Rose is sidelined for about a year or so the Bulls management got the services of....Kirk

Kirk Hinrich is good IMHO. not all star or superstar good, but good nonetheless.  ;D

he's a solid defender on the perimeter, steady ball handler, and definitely can shoot from the outside.

not spectacular, but a steady playmaker and good defender. i actually liked him when he first entered the league (probably waiting for the next big white star hehe). i'd pick him over russel westbrook (o yes i went there hahaha)

don't worry about ur Bulls sir, with that kind of Defense, sure yan sa Playoffs lalo na sa Eastern con, where only 1 team is elite (for me).. Reaching the FInals is a different story though..

New Orleans trades Jerome Dyson to Minnesota, Brad Miller to Phoenix, acquires Robin Lopez and Hakim Warrick from Phoenix, and Minnesota sends Wes Johnson and a first-round pick (lottery protected, from Memphis) to Phoenix.

Twolves could be on the verge of signing Kirilenko after this deal.

they just got their ass kicked by the number 8th seed 76'ers when Rose went down. The Sixers arent even considered as a great offensive team plus no real superstar threat.  This year the Bulls lost Korver, Asik and Brewer. Makes their task even tougher.

They were not prepared on losing Rose that time, this year they signed Heinrich to take the place for a while, they have a great coach I'm sure may adjustments na yan.. as long as the D core is intact, Noah, Gibson, Deng, they'll definitely make the playoffs..

one thing I know, di yata ito yung tipo ng mayabng na player at buwaya at sakit sa ulo so im joining the bandwagon, him over westbrick din ;D ;D

having said the above, nakakuha ba ang OKC ng magagaling na player from trades? specifically a PG na matino ang ugali sa court?
