You know what, Westbrook and Durant thrived vs LA's defense last year coz they pick and rolled Bynum to death last year. OKC might have won 4-1 in their match-up but 2 of those could have gone either way, and were close.

With Bynum out and Howard  more mobile  and agile in defense, especially in PnR situations, maybe your Durant/Westbrook unstoppable theory wouldnt hold water....especially that team defense is much more emphasized ...than one on one defense.

Anyway, I would still respect OKC in a way that they are the defending West Champs.   But dont belittle Howard's ability to anchor a team defense, because now, LA can pressure the perimeter, knowing a quicker and agile Howard can  always supply help defense.

sir, some people tend to act ''threatened'' when other teams ''upgrade''  ;)

Lebron has the tools (wingspan, athleticism, and speed) to be a Durant Stopper.

maybe D12 can teach ''The Spaniard'' a thing or two about toughness.

I think Steve Nash can create scoring opportunities for Pau to make him look good, if not a toughie.

KD's 2012 regular season average was 28 ppg.  In the Finals, he averaged 31 ppg.  So Lebron, or any other player, was not able to stop KD from scoring more.

Ibang klase lang talaga pinakita ni Lebron James nung Finals kaya nag champion ang Heat.  That was an "upgraded" Lebron we saw that OKC never had an answer to.

Lebron is so good that USA teammate Chris Paul commented, "This guy is so good he can do all the things I can as a point guard.  Only difference is he's taller" ;D

durant regular season average 28ppg, finals 31ppg but during the second round against the lakers he averaged 27ppg. just throwing numbers out there  :)

definitely, +1 to that. with D12 on board, mauulit pa kaya yung pag posterize ni Blake Griffin kay Gasol?  ;D

ang problem talaga ng Lakers last season was not on defense, but offense.

Mike Brown as head coach? ha! take a look at the Cavalier offense before Lebron left for Miami.

In fairness to Brown, he is a good defensive coach.  Offense nga medyo ewan.  Yun laban nila vs OKC in the 2nd round, 2 games could've been theirs if not for poor execution in the closing seconds.

what offense? Mike Brown never had any offensive schemes to begin with. :D

but +1 on Mike Brown as a defensive oriented coach.

it has been said that Gasol will benefit the most with Steve Nash running the point and the implementation of the Princeton Offense. but i see the Lakers running it along with a ton of PNR situations.

Nash option offense acddg to Bill Simmons

"Hmmmmm … what should we do on this play? Should I run the high screen with Pau again? I could always just take a rest and dump it over to Kobe for a play. Or, I could beat my guy, try to draw Dwight's guy over and throw him an alley-oop that he'll catch as long as it's within five feet of the rim. God, this is fun. Eff it, I think I'll just shoot a 3 — if it doesn't go in, Dwight will just get the rebound, anyway … "

Phoenix Suns' medical and training staff should have been included in the Nash deal.

they're the best at what they do. :) ;D

updated my previous post with a link.

actually, yan nga ang inaalala ko with Steve Nash. since iba na ang medical staff niya, baka dyan biglang lumabas ang sakit ng katawan for all the years he has played in the NBA.

Guess what happens when Nash is put in there? :) Field day for Durant from Outside and some westbrook.

Pasensya na parang paulit ulit, but I cannot see how LA can stop OKC for now.

BUT it will be pretty competitive for sure.

the Laker bench still needs improvement. so for now, don't even think about the 70+ win thing.

I already covered this with Nash's role in LA's Team D. Durant will just shoot outside or maybe drive(with Russell)

Am not belittling D12's anchor in Defense. :) Am more of Amplifying what an experienced/mature Durant can do offensively.

He's currently number 2 behind... Lebron that can shoot outside.

Wow ......

** The NUGGETS let go of a rising (and non-expensive) Arron Afflalo, a still decent Al Harrington (good stretch-four) and a future first-round pick ..... for Andre Igoudala, who'll be a free-agent next year and command a near-max contract?

What is with the NUGGETS and players with AI initials ?

The Nuggets I guess are looking for an athletic/defensive swingman & felt that Iggy's better than Afflalo. He might be their Kobe or Durant stopper come playoff time.
