bilis manambak ng US ah! :)

Ang bilis mag-shift ng momentum sir, Durant and Melo became HOT, nagpaulan ng 3-pointers,...

Just for the sake of conversation, would the US Team reach the medal boards kung walang coach,..?
A bunch of superstars fending for themselves,  what do you think,..
Just curious,...  ???

Probably ..... one of the elders and/or the least-playing player will immediately act as the coach (happens all the time in baranggay-level, company intrams, weekend pickup games, etc).

In Team USA's case, an Igoudala or Harden will likely call the shots from the bench.  :)

i will quote this for future reference

in return, quote this as well for future reference ;D ;D

Lakers will not go beyond OKC even with Nash and Howard on board

Thats why we watch and they play the games.   We will see.   Dwight Howard has led the league in defensive win shares 3 straight seasons while playing with players not known for their defensive play.

Im pretty excited though.  Not gonna convince everybody the impact of Nash and Howard will have, some arent just impressed....kahit sino pa mai dagdag sa Lakers.

One more note:  If Durant and Westbrook are unstoppable, they should have bullied their way against the Heat.  Wade and Bosh  wrent even 100% in the Finals.  And they had a Center named like a Mexican Pop Star. ;D ;D

Lakers added Joey Meeks, formerly of the Sixers.   I think the roster is set.   Meeks is a career 37 shooter from 3.

Though the road to Finals will still go through OKC...that I give them respect.   Ill have one brave prognosis...

With thses weapons.....Lakers should lead the league with Points Per Possesion.  The true barometer of Offense efficiency.  :P

no offense to Howard fans, IMO mas may impact yung paglipat ni Nash vs him, as lakers desperately needs a playmaker :)

Yes I agree.   Howards arrival is dessert, impact will be on defense. Nash will make everybody better on offense.

He is the best in the pick and roll.   And will have Howard sa roll......Pau on the pick and Pop.   Bryant waiting on the wing.   Artest on the weak side.    ;D ;D ;D

With all the focus on the four players. as Simmons had joked, Metta should rename himself as Metta Wide OPen Three.

The Dwight Howard press conference in LA will start shortly. Looking forward to the pics and what Howard has to say personally about coming to LA, especially in response to the following comments from Kobe:

"Dwight Howard can carry the franchise when I'm gone"

IMO chemistry will be the real test for the Lakers this coming season, which makes Mike Brown's role really critical in determining how far the Lakers will go.

Lakers should move now to get Leandro Barbosa to give the bench some needed firepower

Wait... what? And the Lakers still have money left to pay the services of the Barbosa?
Can someone here do an inventory on how on earth Lakers could pay all these players?

OT: the way I see it, the US team is winning because of their 3 point shooting. And the way I analyze it the only way to beat them is also through outside 3 point shooting; strong defense inside (rebounding and put back) and 3 point shooting outside.

Sa lahat ng teams dito sa Olympics they always try to penetrate and shoot inside pero mahirap talaga, so they just kick the ball out and go for 3. Dapat baliktarin nila, shoot out until the defense inside opens up. Also, yung mga other teams hindi consistent mag shoot ng 3 unlike US team. That is the reason they got all these NBA players like Durant, Melo, Lebron, Kobe etc so they could shoot 3 (inside or out shooting), pero mas effective pa rin 3point shooting nila kesa sa loob.

I wonder why many people think that Durant and Westbrook are considered as unstoppable  ???

did they win a ring already?

my thoughts exactly. and the most "unstoppable" of all LBJ is just 1 for three in the finals. with the hype these guys are getting they are expected to win multiple championships and probably build a dynasty.

tim duncan has four titles yet he doesn't get much noise about it. why? is it because he's fundamentally sound and not as flashy as these guys? i'd pick duncan over dwight howard any time

barring any major injuiries..... lakers vs heat in finals. the multitude of talent in the lakers is too much to overcome i think. their starting five is just too much. they can even afford to use gasol off the bench.

unlike the previous kobe/malone/payton team, this team is relatively young and just a little over their prime. payton just shot bricks while malone got injured by the time finals came around thus became ineffective. nash is still very good (not great) and is still at his prime. gasol doeo bang bodies which he never really liked.

haaay.... the gap is too wide to make it interesting in the western conference. thunder didn't really upgrade their roster so far. my spurs will still do well in the regular season and will be overmatched by the second round of the playoffs. mavs will look competitive but with howard in lakers will too be too much.

i wish they could have included gasol to make a fairer fight.... it's disgusting that i'll just join the BEAT L.A! team this year... ;D

Imagine how infuriating it must have been for Mark Cuban during the last 24 months.

1. Dallas wins the NBA Championship
2. Dallas lets go of key players in order to "look to the future".
3. Lakers Deal Odom to them for money. Cuban might have thought they got a bargain.
4. Odom no shows the entire year.
5. Dallas got swept
6. Jason Kidd leaves
7. Jason Terry Leaves
8. Deron decided to sign elsewhere
9. Nowitzki declares himself as "too old to be in a team that is rebuilding"
10. Howard decides to sign elsewhere
11. now they have to sign a bunch of scrubs just to field a team for this year.

I doubt if the Lakers still plan to go after Barbosa after agreeing to terms with Jodie Meeks. They also got Duhon from the Magic trade, so their backcourt rotation is set. Still think Barbosa was the better choice as a combo guard...

There goes the Alpha Dog's ego talking.  ;D

Marking his territory? I guess that's expected from someone like Kobe. :) But I'd rather view it as a challenge to Howard as the newest Laker and the player expected to sustain the franchise's greatness after Kobe calls it quits.

From ESPN.com:

Howard will have to wait to make his debut with the Lakers since he is expected to miss the start of the regular season as he continues to recover from back surgery, multiple sources told ESPN.

Bitin... Dallas at LA pa naman on opening night.
