Maybe after a few more championships i'll believe that miami has the best formula. The spurs have 4 championships in modern basketball thanks to a dominant duncan. The lakers have 5 rings, 3 with shaq and 2 with Gasol and Bynum. Dallas won with a defensive Chandler and a scoring Nowitzki. Boston has 1 ring with a brilliant KG that year and a defensive Perkins, only the detroit pistons won without a legitimate center(unless you REALLY conside big ben a center). Thats 11 years since '00 that a true center was present(and yes, Duncan is indeed a center, check him out during his wake forest days and he played both the 4 and 5 spot just as much) in a championship team. Lebron, as good as he is cannot play center, roy hibbert of indiana gave him hell when bosh went down. So did KG, and only upon bosh's return was miami able to match up properly.

I rather believe Coach K though regarding leBron heres the
LINKBecause of team play, Hibbert had a hard time, he can't even touch the ball once Spo drew up the plan to neutralize him and KG... didn't they lose the ECF?
Also Bosh is not a True Center.
Another "evidence" Riley/Spo's system worked/works.
You mentioned beat miami first to say they dont need a center, well i believe The Dallas Mavericks did that last year.
Well the problem last time was LeBron as is he was the reason they won this season and their system is not that polished.
Regarding Miami having a different level during the playoffs, i think the same could be said for each top 4 team from both conferences, to declare that only miami has that is arrogance, but because you are a heat fan, its love for your team so that comment should be forgiven.
I didn't say Miami only has it, for now the example regarding the Bulls is the evidence of this. Bulls were number 1 in a season then they lost to Miami at the playoffs.
No arrogance there, just facts. Why am I biased when I think Mavs, Spurs, Clippers and specially OKC will still give Lakers fits? and Boston will still threaten Miami and may lose to them? Offcourse every team can lose to another team.
But the conversation/context was a fellow poster gave dates of regular season games of Lakers vs. MIA and OKC to see daw and evaluate the Team Matchups. I only mentioned the "levels" because a Playoff Series is very different and we won't properly evaluate teams in regular season.
^ Is the "level" thing clear now?
Like all of you, i cant waiit for the new season to start.
