But the conversation/context was a fellow poster gave dates of regular season games of Lakers vs. MIA and OKC to see daw and evaluate the Team Matchups. I only mentioned the "levels" because a Playoff Series is very different and we won't properly evaluate teams in regular season.

Disclaimer  kasi agad eh, bakit threatened na ba kahit regular season lang?   So how we will base how the team plays?  edi sa regular season games muna.  We have to start somewhere right?

Magbe base bayo tayo ng games kung sa haka haka lang??   sa biased analysis??

We settle it out on the court, kahit regular season lang yan.

Then pagdating sa playoffs, back to zero yan....then we do another round of discussions.

Eh ngayon pa lang andami na disclaimer.  ;D ;D

and then ano nangyari sa Miami after that? tinalo sila ng may edad sa kanilang dallas mavericks...o baka hindi sila nakapag level up ng game nila against dallas?

walang level up mapa regular or playoff games man yan....parehas na game of basketball ang laro at 48minutes ang timing....

so puedeng ganito lang muna laro natin regular season kasi sa playoff na tayo hahataw at ilalabas ang galing talaga....

naco concentrate lang tayo na akala natin may level up kasi playoff na at nanalo ang team na gusto natin...

 ;D ;D ;D

I didn't say Miami only has it, for now the example regarding the Bulls is the evidence of this. Bulls were number 1 in a season then they lost to Miami at the playoffs.

No arrogance there, just facts. Why am I biased when I think Mavs, Spurs, Clippers and specially OKC will still give Lakers fits? and Boston will still threaten Miami and may lose to them? Offcourse every team can lose to another team.

But the conversation/context was a fellow poster gave dates of regular season games of Lakers vs. MIA and OKC to see daw and evaluate the Team Matchups. I only mentioned the "levels" because a Playoff Series is very different and we won't properly evaluate teams in regular season.

^ Is the "level" thing clear now?

Tagal pa, kaya discussion muna. :)

hindi level up yun...nagkakataon lang na mas maganda ang inilaro ng team ng nanalo....so ibig sabihin ang team ng natatalo sa playoff ay hindi nakakapaglevel up?

walang level up... ;D ;D ;D

basta walang level up... ;D ;D ;D

Here's an article that sorta debunks the Sam Amick article...
http://www.thedreamshake.com/2012/8/15/3245552/report-rockets-offer-for-dwight-howard-wasnt-as-good-as-originally

I just read the article, I noticed that it was a blog created by a random rockets fan. It's a good read nevertheless. It showed what might have been Houston's offer. Although none was attractive and was considerably less than what was originally reported

Here's a good article by Alex Kennedy explaining why Orlando made this decision. Probably the positive article you are looking for  ;)
http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba-pm-the-orlando-magics-master-plan/
A quote on that article:
Quote
Houston’s offer wasn’t as attractive as reports have indicated. The Rockets weren’t willing to give up all of their picks and prospects in addition to taking back Orlando’s bad contracts. It was one or the other. If Houston was giving away their prospects, they weren’t taking back bad contracts. If they were taking back bad contracts, they weren’t giving away their prospects. Without a long-term commitment from Howard, the Rockets weren’t willing to potentially ruin their future by giving away all of their prospects and taking back ugly deals. Houston wasn’t going to put themselves in a position where if Howard left after the season, they’d be stuck with bad contracts and have zero young players to build around. Throughout this process, Houston’s offer was described as the perfect deal for Orlando, but the Rockets were never going to give up everything and take back all of Orlando’s luggage.

So now Orlando tanks and I hope they get to draft Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker --- probably the next Tmac and Lebron  :)

Against the Mavs siyempre both team leveled up but the Better team was the Mavericks who leveled with a better coach than the now coach of the Nets.

But the biggest factor is LeBron SUCKED. nagLevel down :P

7 Games with the same team to play against over and over is very different.

they couldn't win against a seasoned Mavs team and they only won because they faced an upstart and inexperienced OKC team. the Heat has their work cut out for them because they have to defend their crown to solidify their title in a lockout shortened season.

coming out of the east last playoffs they had a hard time with an ageing Celtics squad. or perhaps they haven't "leveled up" at that point yet?

unless i see multiple rings on lebron i'm still not convinced. just one ring after  3 finals appearance and yet he's supposed to be the best player on the planet?

and ofcourse there's that lebron is way better than magic johnson right? magic johnson was a 20 year old rookie who won his first championship in his rookie season. big deal, he had kareem. well during the finals kareem couldn't play game 6 because of a sprain and in stepped the 20 year old magic to start at center playing game six of the NBA finals on the road. they won that game with magic finishing with 42 pts, 15 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals and a block and eventually was named finals MVP, becoming the only rookie to do so.

so lebronytes don't go knocking on the magic man too.  ;)

Hehehe.  Baka kuyugin ka ng Jordan fans bro.  But yeah, Lebron has more individual skills than MJ so this comes as no surprise at all.

Here's a hypothetical question :  If you were a coach and you have the opportunity to get 1 player for your team, who would it be?  Kobe, Lebron or Jordan?

Ako Kobe Fan at syempre mahal ko si Jordan ( who doesn't love the guy except his ex wife? ), but I would get Lebron.  Reason :  He can play ALL positions and be efficient in each one of them. PG, Forward & Center.   And he's bigger than the two. San ka pa?   The guy is a coach's dream player. Nasampolan na nga si Coach K ayun he shat in his pants praising Lebron.

Yan pwede pa.  I honestly think we should stop comparing Lebron to Jordan.

Lebron to Magic pwede pa.  Because they are more identical -- they can play all positions and they're both tall.
