I've noticed that it generally takes at least 3yrs to even get a semblance that you are getting your game back regardless of age after ACL surgery. First year off then only til your 2nd full season will a player show some explosiveness.

Yup ..... it takes a long time to fully recover from an ACL (even MCL) injury - moreso for explosive guards such as Rose.

It wouldn't be noticeable for those with slow & ground-based games such as bigs.

For the sake of all NBA fans, let's hope that Rose turns out the same way or even much better than before.

Basing it on science you come out stronger after an operation, psychological ang labanan dyan, i hope he gets the confidence to lift off on the repaired leg soon.

On World Peace's bold statement that Lakers will go 73-9, here's MJ's reaction, as posted on Twitter :

For someone whose surname is World Peace, who's gotta take him seriously?  But hey, why not dream big eh?  Go Lakers O0

http://www.sportando.net/eng/usa/nba/43548/spurs-to-workout-japeth-aguilar.html

Spurs to workout Japeth Aguilar
Aguilar is a former No. 1 draft pick of the Philippine Basketball Association
NBA
"The San Antonio Spurs will workout Japeth Aguilar. Aguilar is a former No. 1 draft pick of the Philippine Basketball Association. Aguilar played collegiately at Western Kentucky for two seasons and is 6-9, 225 lb. forward."

You think Japeth has a chance?  I think he's too lean to bang bodies in the NBA.

Sino sino na bang PBA players (local) na na consider ng NBA na maglaro sa kanila?  Johnny A's one.  Alam ko nag try out din.  And back in the day, parang si Danny Florencio caught the eye of some NBA agents.  Meron pa bang iba?

Ang dapat unahing i-work out ni Japeth ay yung attitude niya. Ni wala pang napapatunayan sa PBA dami ng ere sa ulo!  >:(

On the Lakers going 73-9....that's actually a guarantee that it will not happen.  ;D

That Bulls team had a bunch of good players but the catalyst was a transcendent player who was out of this world. The Lakers don't have that transcendent player.

Samboy Lim was supposedly invited, but imho Allan caidic would have been a player that would have survived.  I saw that guy practice his "game" shots  and not set shots, he would make 40-50 jumpers straight, miss once or twice then go on a mad streak again.

AGREE 100%!  He proved that he can hold his own against NBA vets.  Even if it was an exhibition game, scoring 54 points is not an easy task.

http://www.purefoodsbasketball.com/events/caidic-steals-show-in-nba-asia-challenge/

Caidic got the fancy of all the NBA vets including the great Dominique Wilkins who said this after the game, "For one quarter, I thought he could win the game all by himself. You can see that he certainly has the talent and his shooting is remarkable"

Here's video of Caidic's sterling 54 point performance.  :  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osHUP27tbNY

Hehe, that makes only 1 team qualified to be mentioned in the same breath...and they won 8 straight. Ok din naman siguro sir if we try to compare the dynasty's.  ;D

what do we mean when we say dynasty?  is it the championship won by the franchise as a whole?  or specific time frame?

Thats a good question, parang masmaganda ata kung specific time frame and match the great teams during that span, kapag comparing era's kasi napakasakit sa ulo eh.  Walang makakalaban kay Bill Russell kung ganon hehehe.

To me, dynasty (in sports) means consistency in winning championships. And with that regards, the LAkers and Celtics are untouchable. Boston's 8-straight, dont think it will be duplicated. Chicago, I believe, would've come close had MJ not retired. But thats a woulda shoulda coulda argument that will never hold water. There is no other team that comes close to LA and Boston's championship pedigree IMHO.

yes. the record of boston will stay.

for the teams kasi ngayon, its hard to keep a core of players that will dedicate themselves to staying with the same team. dami kasi complications ngayon, yung pera involved, the playing time, the media exposure etc. what's possible lang with the teams nowadays eh yung may "consistent" teams that are always playoff contenders pero as far as winning it all, pahirapan pa rin talaga.
