Lakers still needs another explosive wingman to play along side Nash and Bryant should the Lakers be able to control the boards with Gasol and Howard.
Miami with Wade, Allen, Lewis, James, and Bosh are certainly gonna be very explosive offensively and certainly create mismatches with other teams.

Lakers just signed CDR - Chris Douglas Roberts. The dude played in Milwaukee and NJ. Reports say that the guy had a handful of 30 point nights and sporadic 20 point nights when given playing time and the green light to shoot.  Seems like they are intent to keep the minutes down for both Nash and Bryant.

This Heat line-up will be deadly on wings. :D

Btw, NBA 2k13 available locally tomorrow. Can't wait! :)

Heat line up should be very hard to defend when they start their attack from the outside.
That five will certainly take out the BIG men from opposing teams.

Unless Bosh moves to a 5 spot to move Rashard to a 4, the defensive rotation of most teams should be the same.  But the heat are definitely more difficult to guard because of 2 additional shooters.

Bosh will definitely play the 5 spot with UDONIS HASLEM alternating with him at the 5 and 4 spots, Heat five will live and die with frontal attacks and fluid ball movements.

Bad thing is that they are paper thin on the front court. If Udonis or Bosh goes down and miss significant time they are in trouble.

This will be a tough season for Bosh if he'll play the 5 spot. :)

Not so sure about Bosh succeeding as a 5...He'll be quicker than most but will get killed on D, also He'll give away too much weight to natural bigmen and would be out of his game on offense because Bosh has a solid perimeter/outside to inside game, manning the post ala Duncan isn't his style, i see more of Haslem as a very undersized 5 in their rotation.

Haslem, Chalmers and Battier will complete the solid 8 for the Heat aside from their STAR studded five in WADE, JAMES, ALLEN, LEWIS and BOSH.

Barkley thinks LeBron can be better than Jordan

And the list goes on and on.  Years back, it would be sacrilegious to even compare someone in the same breath as Jordan.  But now players and coaches are coming out with statements hinting that someone is BETTER than Jordan.  And to think Lebron only has 1 championship.

If LBJ can play till he's 40, then perhaps he can surpass MJ someday but now, he still have much catching up to do despite getting his first ring.

Barkley comes off as recognizing Lebron and yet we all know his kisser's still placed on MJ's arse. There will never be anyone close to MJ for Barkley and to a lot of fans. With good reason coz Jordan is considered the GOAT. Anytime anyone comes close - like referees in a game - people will always call foul coz His Airness will always be considered untouchable.

In addition, even in the article that was quoted, Barkley mentioned that Kobe was still ahead of Lebron  when all things are considered.  So LBJ is better than MJ?  Possible but NOT yet, he has to get through the Black Mamba first to challenge His Airness as GOAT.

Hawks Beats Miami in first exhibition game, 92-79.  Allen scores 10 pts and 5 assists in 27 minutes.

Yeah, exhibition games are meaningless.  But every loss of Miami gives a smile to many ;D

Lakers opening game and a glimpse of Steve Nash.  Check out some brilliant passes to Kobe and to newcomer Sacre. Can't wait for the real season to begin....

Plus a nasty crossover off Jarrett Jack and a trey -- http://jerseychaser.com/steve-nash-hits-jarrett-jack-with-that-marty-mcfly-sends-him-back-to-the-future-in-lakers-debut/

Lakers even with Howard and Nash will still have match up problems with OKC's five in Perkins, Ibaka, Durant, Harden, and Westbrook.
Westbrook will be over powering Nash, Harden too quick for the aging Bryant and Durant more matured and experienced against World Peace.
The BIG men for both teams will just cancel each other out.

na overrrate mo naman masyado si harden, he might be the reigning 6th man. but he didn't do squat in the finals against the heat. he had little to no playing time in the olympics, because he simply just played like crap.

I acknowledge that kobe is aging, but harden outplaying kobe? c'mon seriously?

Saw one pa kanina at Trinoma Data Blitz. This game alone makes me want to buy a PS3! I hope the iPad version is worth buying :)

Going back to topic, I hope the NY Knicks really found a good formula with the recent addition of their 2 PGs..Seems like they are now dissing J. Lin based on what T. Chandler mentioned although it was true, J. Lin did lack experience talaga but he really put NY back on the map in the NBA. Kelan ba ang Knicks vs Rockets this season? hehe!
