^ for me, I think LAL's problem is more on Defense.. They have 3 elite defenders and yet, they allowed too many points.. Offense can be solved as season goes on , but their D must be addressed immediately..

I agree here.  Defense is best offense, ika nga ni Manotoc. I don't care what offense they execute.  Princeton, Triangle or Gangnam -- whatever you call it.  Laker guys can execute that in due time, believe me.  But there should never be an off night in D.  Champion teams all play excellent D, all the time.  Ask Miami, Boston, SAS, Detroit.

--

On another note, Sabi naman ni Coach Mike Brown ( in defending his Princeton ) Nash has the liberty to call the pick and roll whenever he feels like it.  Sabi ni Nash, ayaw pa lang nya masyado gamitin kasi nga they are still trying to get used to the Princeton.

Jordan: I'm committed to Bobcats for long haul

http://www.philstar.com/SportsArticle.aspx?articleId=866048&publicationSubCategoryId=200&keyword=

Bad news for the Bobcats indeed.

The GOAT as a player is the WOAT as an exec.  Worst Of All Time!

Proof?  Bobcats went 7-59 in the last season.  The worst ever in NBA history!!  And thanks to a 66 game season, it could've been 7-75.

Jordan just has to do everything with passion eh?  Basketball, Golf, Baseball, Gambling.  Now, as an exec, he has to fail all the way and with passion :o

Yeah, nice game between SAS and OKC, with Parker's killer buzzer beater shot.  And thanks to Westbrook with his buwaya moves again >:(

WT%^^& itong si Westbrook talaga.  Does he know how to play point?!?  He kept taking ill advised shots instead of passing to No. 35.  Then the one time that he passed, in their most crucial play, he did so with a weak pass that got intercepted!! He's a great athlete but he's a nut case really.  Pati si Reggie Miller na nag cover ng games kept saying, "You gotta pass to No. 35, You gotta pass to No. 35".

And just look at this video how Westbrook made a defensive blunder that gave Parker the open last second shot :   Ang layo mo sa tao mo Westbrook!!

Wow. haha. What in the world was he thinking?

just so that we are on the same page, we're talking about Nash and the Princeton Offense right? if i'm right to assume that, Nash's stats are 5.8 points and 4.3 assists (so far). not exactly MVP stats. Princeton Offense negates the Pick-and-Roll which is Nash's bread and butter. it renders Nash's skills useless since it doesn't need a traditional point guard to run it. it actually hides a team's weakness in the PG position, which is obviously not the Lakers' weakness.

No we're not...I was talking about PAU...Pau Gasol...

Gasol and Howard are not as mobile as Amare Stoudemire when playing the high post pick and rolls with Nash.
I dont think they can execute it well as Amare did when he was with Phoenix.
Gasol even in international competition always played with his back against the basket and operated down low. I never saw him play the high post and settled for high post jumpers. It will be a liability to force him play out of position as opposing players can just use their speed against the taller but slower Gasol.

oh that explains it. because in your older post you typed in Pao. i thought you were referring to "pao" as in one of the members here.

in any case, i don't think the Princeton offense fits the Lakers because that type of offense was developed for a team that lacks talent and the Lakers is definitely not lacking talent. And why would they use the Princeton offense? has Princeton won an NCAA championship and became successful with that style? which teams uses the Princeton offense and became successful with it?

"But make no mistake, the Lakers will get rolling. They're not winning the NBA title -- that would be the Heat -- but this 0-2 start is a hoax. It's an oasis in the desert for people who want the Lakers to be lousy. They're going to be great, so don't laugh too much now. You'll end up with a mouthful of sand."

NBA Premium 8am Miami @ New York

From the looks of it, and I hope I'm wrong because I'm a Laker fan, the Heat is poised to win another crown this season, and another, and another, and .... Hell, this team can beat any team even if they play 3 against 5.  Grrrr....

BTV 1030am Lakers @ Clippers

Clippers getting better and might just hand the Lakers their 3rd straight loss.  But I have a feeling Lakers will win today ;)

i guess brown uses the princeton offense to get everyone a lot of touches by moving the ball around, so that their stars won't complain about it while the defense will keep on guessing whose gonna take the ball to the hoop. the idea sounds great for a 5-man all star team, but i agree it doesn't utilize nash' playmaking abilities.

Pfft. LAkers go 0-2 and the sky is suddenly falling. Easy folks. I remember reading that the '91 Bulls started 0-3 using the triangle. Any team going through a new offensive structure is going to struggle. Remember, Howard was almost non-existent in the preseason, let alone training camp. They are breaking in new players as well in Nash, Jamison, Meeks, Duhon and Clark. Nash won't have the same stats like assists like when he ran pick and roll ad infinitum in Phoenix. Basically, the Princeton offense wants everyone to get a touch with movement without the ball being emphasized. It's not the traditional PG pounding the ball the whole 24 seconds of a possession and setting up plays. Give it time. I will panic if at the second half of the season the LAkers are below .500

Houston is not stupid enough to covet Harden if they think that he is just a marginal player. Omer Asik - 19 rebounds 0 points...not bad for a guy who was a benchwarmer in Chicago

If you follow mike brown's logic, after the all star break pa mananalo lakers. Wahaha. He said that the team wont come together until then. Sinong coach ganyan mag isisp?!? Nung nagsalita kanina parang walang player na siniseryoso siya e. Sana matalo pa ng sunod sunod na blowout para mapalitan na si mike brown.
