I'm torn with a rumored Gasol for Josh Smith trade. Gasol is the only legit back to the basket guy not named Kobe in LAker land; but Smith is a sure fit in D'Antoni's system ala Amare but with defense. Plus, Smith is a good friend with Dwight and I can just imagine the fear in opposing players eyes when they see D12 and Smith together defending the paint.

Bad deal for Hawk. IMO ;)

and mukhang hindi pa talaga tapos ang rebuilding ng Lakers,
FREE AGENT pa pala si Smith, malaking pera na naman ang usapan dito,...

Jazz replace Hayward and Marvin Williams in starting lineup with Randy Foye and Derrick Favors, Millsap moved to SF

Result: Jazz trailed by as much as 2-15 to NBA's worst team in the opening minutes

^ Tyrone Corbin was probably thinking it was a good time to experiment with his line-up since they're facing the winless Wizards.  :) Looks like they've recovered though.

May kutob ako madidisgrasya ng Charlotte ang Memphis today...
We deserve better.

I agree.  Gasol is is still owed a lot of money w/ a few more years in his contract.  And Gasol's game is already deteriorating. It would be wiser just to re-sign Smith.

Someone should teach Jason Kidd how to wear a headband properly ;D

"Kidd played only 3 minutes before he was hit in the head by Lance Stephenson's teeth after a pump fake and bloodied while attempting a 3-pointer. He put a headband over the wound so he could shoot the free throws, wearing it in a lopsided manner that was angled more like a bonnet, even laughing himself at how ugly it looked."

Sixers just got the raw end of the deal with the D12 trade. Bynum couldn't even play until January. The kid is already damaged goods and no team would offer a max contract to him after this season which is his final year.  Is it possible that the Lakers know something that the other teams did not? Only time will tell.

Yep!  Si Jawo lang nakakagawa nun to perfection!!

---

Kobe has already 11 pts, 7 rebs and 7 assists.  Looks like he's a natural in the D'Antoni system.

Lakers shooting 67%.  4 are in double figures including Darius Morris.  Kobe is near triple double.  Lakers looking more stable and fluid.

BUT - they're only up 8.  If they can improve on DEFENSE in the coming games and limit opponents, the Lakers are definitely back on track.  Abangan...

I'd say the "No Defense" of D'Antoni is a misnomer based on stats.

http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/PHO/2007.html

Phoenix Suns in 2006-2007 was 13th of 30 teams in terms of Defensive Efficiency so they're high middle of the pack. And they don't have a Dwight Howard then!

So just a little tweaking here and there on defense and lakers will be okay.

yup...faster pace. more possesions, so essentially, opponent will score more too.  Points allowed per possesion is better barometer.

wow, Kobe....impressing me still.

...or opponent's FG%.

Rght now Houston though down, is shooting 54% from the field.  That's high for a team that is trailing.

So talagang shoot out galore!
