Seems you can't get the gist of my posts.  We are really going in circles.  It was already stated multiple times and was simplified as it could be.  But let me see if I can make the simple more simplified....but first simply throw your fixation of where did the comparison come from. Forget about that.  That has been holding you back.

You branded Rondo as having an attitude problem.  I agree.  But that is not uncommon at Rondo's age.  Kobe was just as brash in his younger days.  I was curious if the diss was made w/o bias.  Yes you said you coildn't recall....pre-2000.  But all the issues were post 2000.

Yep, the diss was done without bias. I made that conclusion based on the incidents I've seen Rondo involved in. And all of those were all on court incidents. This is why I suggested to check the context because my references are all on-court incidents. No allusions to off-court issues.

But to finally put this to rest, I will indulge you. Yes, i am aware of the "Ship his ass out" kobe video, the "do something. do it now", the "I'd rather play in Pluto" comments. And yes, that was very stupid coming from Kobe. Immature, yes. He wanted to win but his radio show tirade was definitely distasteful. I was one of the supporters of trading him to Chicago for Loul Deng and a whole lot of pieces because of his tirade.

Now that we have that out of the way, how is that similar to the incidents that Rondo has been involved in, with regard to on-court incidents? sure both are attitude problems but it's wrapped in two different contexts. One is off-court and emanates from the will to win (building a championship team), the other is just a knee jerk reaction to a foul to a teammate, (among other on-court incidents).

As for the times when Kobe seemingly tanked a game and tried to be a facilitator, well, can you remind me which game was that? I do remember an elimination game where he stopped taking shots against the Suns. Definitely criticized him for that. ---but again, those are different from Rondo's issues which revolves more on altercations.

May magpapataw ba ng suspension dito sa atin sa pag-aaway din,..? Hahahaha

Chill everyone,...
Wala namang away. Just a heated debate between two people trying to make a point. Cooler heads need to prevail lang but there's definitely no fighting.

Happy Bonifacio Day, guys. :)

In other news, Gregg Popovich has decided to rest his stars v. the Heat today in a nationally televised game, and is now facing "substantial sanctions" from Boss Stern. Coach's prerogative (to rest aging players at the tailend of a 6-game road trip) v. league interest.. Interesting issue.

Gotta love Popovich. I actually like him more than Phil Jackson.

Well isn't that easy enough instead of resorting to targeting Kobe and hater statements?  About the Rondo incident, one can say he was standing up for his teammate.  It can also be argued that it has nothing to do with an attitude problem.  As the article/link you mentioned, it was more misplaced loyalty than having an attitude problem.  Article stated Rondo's reaction was natural.  Rondo thought Humphries was trying to hurt KG that was why he reacted.  He was wrong and acted inappropriately.

Rondo does have an attitude problem.  But in this case, more of hot-headedness.  All of us have our own way of being passionate NBA fans.  But branding people haters and such shouldn't be resorted to.  Or else the discussion will just go to the dogs.      ;D

Syempre most of all, if you can dish it out, learn how to receive it as well.  So dapat walang pikunan.

Spurs will face sanctions.....nagalit si Stern

It was a nationally televised game versus the Heat.  Yari ang ratings.  Naging Heat versus the Spurs bench.  Magagalit yun sponsors kay Stern.  And of course Stern will transfer that frustration to the Spurs.

Stern being an astute and shrewd lawyer...meron yan.  He'll probably resort to always putting out the best product on the floor.  Or the Spurs cheating the paying fans to see the stars play.  I believe there's this so called "Spirit of the Game" rule.

I agree.  Imagine fans expecting to see a Marquee matchup then pffftttt!!

Regarding Rondo, yes he has an attitude problem.  Its not a secret.  He was even a trade subject last trading deadline, and this was due to his attitude within the team, and conflicts with Rivers.   Search it, Boston media pa nagrereport.

Regarding that play though, yes it was a compulsive reaction.  If it was around 15-20 years ago, it would have meant nothing.   Pero that play...you instigate a fight, suspension yan.  He'll learn.

I find it funny how players overreact in the nba. That foul on KG by Kardashian wasnt even all that hard. KG dishes out as hard as any player, so i guess youd see him not really bothered. But Rondo's move is just plain wrong with stupid coming close to a proper description.

Pops should tell Stern he used "basketball reasons" in deciding to send home the 4 Spurs.

The Spurs-Heat game w/o the stars have gotten boring for the commentators that Sir Charles and Reggie have been talking about MJ, Kobe and get this...... the Pacman!

Bigtime na talaga si Pacquiao!  Siya yun naging topic for discussion.

Also what if the Spurs win, will Stern still punish the Spurs.  Because even if Pop rested his stars, the bench came in and played to win the game.

Stern already said they will face sanctions....Pop could have been discreet, but I guess he wants total rest, he didnt let them travel.

Spurs looking good.....Pop looking a lot smarter with his moves.

Parang hindi ayos yun ah,... It's like nakikialam ang commissioner kung paano irotate ang team,...
Eh paano kung gusto ko ngang ipahinga ang key players ko to save their legs in future games,..?

saka back to back games on the road. hindi na naman spring chicken sila duncan & manu, pop was just trying to preserve their legs para sa game tomorrow against the grizzlies. eh mas importante yun kasi division rival. saka pop has been known to strategically rest his older players naman kahit noon pa. :)
