And since when did regular season suckiness translate to postseason success? ::)

Miami 2010-2011 then 2011-2012 regular seasons?

some examples are...

1. Their suckiness vs. Chicago 2010-2011 regular season Chi sweeped Mia then 1st game in the Playoffs Mia sucked. :)

- but won 4 straight -->>> but then lost to Dallas though.
- this is where LeBron and Spo had the Bumpgate :D

2. I think I don't have to tell about the last season right? There were a lot of things that happened in the regular season then them still sucking in postseason games vs. Indy, vs Celtics etc?

The thing is Mia has that 2nd level when it comes to the playoffs. ;)

This season though, Mia's D is sucking.

All teams that make it to the playoffs, save for a few east teams, have a second level.  If it was just miami then they would go 16-0 in the playoffs.

Imho, the Ego's are the problem there first and foremost, then their System is secondary.

All teams can do that if they have Lebron, Wade and Bosh though. :) <-- parang mali, english kasi hehe.

I mean iba kasi if you have the Best Player in the Planet right now.

Lots of expectations from them even in the Regular season. 2010-2011 was a nightmare, even for us fans. ^_^

Yes, but the story back then was Chicago was going to kick Mia's butts in the playoffs because of Chicago's Sweep in the Regular Season and D.Rose (which was shut down by Lebron in significant minutes in the playoffs.)

Didn't happen.

Will Nash bring balance to the force? Is he that good? Is he LA's savior? We will see in two weeks. By that time LA could be 6/19 in the W/L column aft this road trip. Gasol is down pa. No more playmaker. Kobe mode full time ito.

Nash won't suddenly save the Lakers. The problem is more defensively. Nash won't help with that.  Nash won't just come in and suddenly LA will be shutting teams down.

Actually, they are better individually, problem is the rest of the team slacks off because they think d12 is 20 feet tall and can cover 3 players.

The Lakers don't actually suck defensively. They're just not committed to it.

And I'm talking about Kobe. Kobe just loves to play center field, as Stu Lantz calls it. It's his way of conserving energy for offense. The problem with it though, is that his teammates have to cover his man as well. He's usually far from the guy he's guarding that when his man makes a move, he has so much ground to cover.

Take that play earlier vs Houston when Douglas made the 3 that gave them their 1st lead of the game. Kobe was so far from Delfino that when Delfino emerged from a down screen, he got caught in the pick. Duhon had to cover Delfino and left Douglas open. Same thing happened vs Orlando.

The Lakers just need to commit to stick to their man defensively, all game long. And it should start with Kobe.

sa tingin ko si MDA pa rin ang problema. he wants to run plays that arent suitable for the team. si Gasol nawalan na rin ng gana maglaro. just imagine he chooses Jamison over Gasol, susmio naman. parang di na rin ako naniniwala na talagang injured si Pau :)

I'm not saying he doesn't. What I'm saying is that his decision to play center field disrupts the defensive flow of the team. They're forced to switch when not necessary and it puts too much pressure on Dwight and even Metta.

That's what I said.  ??? well not exactly but the core is regular season games don't mean to the players much now adays compared to when Magic, Bird and Jordan was playing.

We as Mia fans IS actually jealous of that Celtics 2008 Team. That's why, I guess they took Ray Allen hehe. :)

Regarding the analysts, yes I know, but DRose was not the only factor. e.g. Coach Thibs system vs. Coach Spoelstra's unset system was another thing.

Back then those analysts would have been right but another thing just happened and showed that Mia is a different team come playoffs time. Lebron was great that series.

Well dont get me wrong, the reg season games are still played really hard by the players, 3D and CWebb actually had a very good discussion about this topic, its the coaching team that makes the difference come playoffs because games are strung together, kung sinong magaling na coaching staff that can adjust faster will win the series.  Doc out coached PJax in '08.  Spo outchoached Thib in '11 ECF and Brooks in the '12 finals.  Carlisle though was brilliant in "11 against Spo, the Zone killed Mia.

Thibs regularly plays his starters too much whether its reg season or playoffs, that was their downfall against MIA apart from Spo outcoaching him.

regarding MIA @the regular season, No. Agreed though about when the playoffs.

Doc out coached PJax in '08.  Spo outchoached Thib in '11 ECF and Brooks in the '12 finals.  Carlisle though was brilliant in "11 against Spo, the Zone killed Mia.

In those games, I would say the players get 80% of the "blame" though. e.g. Kobe, The Machine, Boozer, Lebron.

Wow as a Mia fan I am reminded of that losing feeling after Dallas "killed" every lead we had lol.

Not to take away credit to the coaching staff though, but they can only work with what they have.

Thibs regularly plays his starters too much whether its reg season or playoffs, that was their downfall against MIA apart from Spo outcoaching him.

Yes, this is why we say Chi doesn't have another level compared to Mia that time. It was like? Oh is that it? After Chi 1st blow out win then on to the 2nd game up.

But still analysts who predicted Chi would win specially after that 1st game has valid reason that was just have been proven wrong.

If Im not mistaken, people only noticed and brought up what's wrong in Thibs system, playing Drose/Starters too much, after what happened to DRose last playoffs. But that is not the case back then.

Halos lahat naman ng playoff team palaban ang line up eh, sabi nga ni ron jacobs dati, i dont need stars, give me 12 freddie abudas and i can win a championship.  If the role players do their role to a T, may chansa manalo.  Thats why the bulls dynasty was so hard to crack, PIP was to defend and quarterback, Rodman to rebound and mind f**k the opposition and Jordan to be...well, Michael Jordan hehe.  So IMHO, really good teams elevate their game so to speak due to coaching staff reading the opposition and doing the adjustments apart from knowing the plays better due to experience in the regular season, execution is more crisp in the playoffs.   Physically elevating your game, a big maybe, not unless they jump higher or grow a few inches come playoffs.  Mentally all the vets have that.

My two cents.
