haist hoping they wont match their worst season ever nung 1957-58    19W    53L  :(
di naman, but as long as amazing cp3 is playing, division belongs to clips.. my forecast for lal is 44-46 wins.. enough to get 7th or 8th spot.. :)
The Pats way...

Knowing the western conference, they won't make the playoffs with that kind of record.

46 wins will barely get you an 8th spot best case scenario.  44-45 wins 9th spot probably.  In the 2010 season, OKC was the 8th seed with 50wins.

di lang ata kissing scene yan bro, mukhang passionate ang pagkaka-eyecontact nila. ayoko nalang iimagine.  ;D
mahirap i-unimagine yan bro :D

I rally think dwight howard is overrated. He can't even dominate one game.
yes he is, walang consistency din.

I actually believe that kobe and dwight can't exist together with the type of their games. They both need the ball in their hands to be effective. Plus I agree with one writer that said dwight's dominance back then was probably just a product of SVG's system.

Dude is still recovering from back surgery. He is not there yet. And based on dwight's latest comment, there's no team chemistry. He mentioned off court relationship as lacking. Thats a bad indicator. Im betting my money that he's referring to kobe. Wala yatang off court Lakers friend si Kobe. He's been like that since ever so i doubt he'll change.

I still remember Kobe alienating Dwight before by saying that d12 can come to LA and be a Tyson Chandler type of player while Kobe and Pau are the 1st and 2nd option respectively. Guess nothing has changed.

Db 82 games lng ang regular season? so Lakers will be lucky to win 41 games.

That's right...82 games.  So for the Lakers to get 46 wins, they have to go 31-19 the rest of the way.  And 46 wins doesn't even guarantee an 8th spot.

Siguro safe na yun 50 wins.  So dapat 35-15.  A 70% winning percentage the rest of the way.... hhmmmmm pretty tall order.  But not impossible.

really unbelievable season coz we're talking about the lakers barely making it to 40 wins. but it's very realistic. mahihirapan silang umabot sa 40. this blows so bad. I just want the seasson to end already and get on with next season. Sign and trade dwight and find someone whom Kobe will respect enough to share the ball with.

nope. as per a recent article, Kobe admitted that it's hard for him to play alongside another alpha male. MJ, like Shaq, was an alpha male. I'm thinking more like Pau Gasol type. Scottie Pippen type.

also, here's a nice statement from CP3 as to why the Clippers are clicking

Quote
Paul: "For the next nine or 10 months I will be with these guys more than I will be with my wife, so you have got to build that trust," Paul explained. "There are a lot of guys who are stars in this league who don't really talk to each other as much. With me and Blake [Griffin], we can tell each other anything and that goes for a lot of our team."

nakakainggit. they're all young kasi and they get along. Kobe is old and you can't expect him to connect with Dwight and play PS3 all day. Kobe is a family man. He probably spends the rest of his free time with his kids. He has a chopper to cover getting from point A to point B in LA. Isolated talaga siya from his teammates.

whatever happened to that 73-9 goal? hehehe

I guess MWP overshot his estimate...by lightyears. haha

here is my fearless forecast for the tough January Lakers schedule

Jan 6 vs Denver - destroyed by Lawson/Brewer
Jan 8 @ Houston- destroyed by Toney Douglas/Chandler Parsons/Harden
Jan 9 @ San Antonio - ravaged by the entire Spurs team.Popovich will sub himself in for the entire team just to show pity on the Lakers for a huge blowout. Spurs 134/Lakers 87
Jan 11 vs Oklahoma City- destroyed and humiliated by Westbrick/Durant/Iblocka
Jan 13 vs Cleveland- Kyrie Irving and Superstar CJ Miles show with Sideshow Bob on the side. Guest appearance by Tyller Zeller
Jan 15 vs Milwaukee- oh look! We might finally get a win!
Jan 17 vs Miami- GUARANTEED Blowout Heat 122/ Lakers 93.
Jan 20 @ Toronto- Can this be real?!?! Another chance for a victory. 2 wins in 1 month! Lord, it's a miracle!
Jan 21 @ Chicago- Close game. Deng/Boozer combo will win it for the Bulls
Jan 23 @ Memphis- We.have.no.chance.Period.
Jan 25 vs Utah- you again?!? Here, take this win. We surrender. Mo Williams show, baybeh.
Jan 27 vs Oklahoma City- please, please, keep humiliating us, OKC. OKC blowout victory.
Jan 29 vs New Orleans- ZOMFG!!! The Lord almighty is gracious! A possible 3rd win in January! Whew.
Jan 30 @ Phoenix- terrible loss. 2nd game of a B2B with old guy legs, Phoenix will pull off a victory here.

lookin like a 3-11 month for the Lakers. Best outlook is 5 wins/9 losses. most realistic is 3 wins/ 11 losses. :(

yeah but with strong opponents, the pattern will not apply. and up against the Lakers, the Cavs and any other super weak team becomes a strong opponent. So really, all the other 29 teams are strong opponents when facing the Lakers. Walang weak team basta Lakers ang katapat. Kaya milagro talaga pag nananalo Lakers this season.

Masiyado yata nasanay sa Mike Brown system of losing. Ayan, tinuloy tuloy na nila. haha

Lakers offense is no problem today.  Pau and MWP connecting.  It's the defense that's lacking as usual.  Man, if you can't play D you will have a difficult time winning against NBA teams today.  As they say, Defense wins games and championships.  If only the Lakers can play good D, they will be winning more games.

If you're a Laker fan, it's really difficult to watch lately.  May pagka masochist na yata ako to endure all these losses and struggles...
----

LAL played some good D in the final mins of the 2nd Q.  See what happened?? Game tied at 60.  I hope the Lakers find some consistent good D flowing naman...

baliktad Lakers eh. Almost always on yung offense nila tapos defense in spurts lang. Defense should always be there no matter what. Hindi lang talaga dedicated to playing defense yung players ngayon.

They focus too much on scoring, when they play fast nauubos ung lakas sa defense lalo na sa age nila.. but going back sa standings, medyo ok pa kasi except for the top 3 div leaders, dikit dikit pa sila.. i think they can still finish the season with more wins than blazers, rockets  and jazz.. theyre the Lal for crying out loud, and they have a healthy kobe.. ganda nito sa stretch, ung tipong fighting for the last spot sa playoffs, if that happens,  no team would like to face them in 1st round.. Go spurs..

based on my prediction, the lakers will go 3-10 for the rest of January. haha. Pagbigyan mo naman ng 3 panalo. haha

walang magagawa si manong phil jan. walang chemistry eh. lalong mawawalan ng chemistry pag kay Phil kasi mahirap matutunan ang triangle. kagulo yun. dapat si bickerstaff all the way na lang muna. next year na lang maghire ng top-caliber head coach kasi kawawa talaga kahit sinong head coac pumasok. wala naman kasing training camp para matutunon ang isang system.

Dude is still recovering from back surgery. He is not there yet.

I believe Dwight is just using this alibi. If he isn't fully recovered yet, he shouldn't be playing at all otherwise he is just going to aggravate his injury.

sa tingin ko iba pa rin pag si PJ ang coach. he already proved that he can deliver and that commands respect sa kahit sinong superstar player. unlike dito kay MDA na mukang walang tiwala si kobe, dwight and gasol

philjackson has ways to make players bond... he has film sessions, meditation, and other zen stuff that will make players rely on each other during off games...

if there's anybody who could create chemistry with the lakers, it would be him... just look at how he did it with the worm and the bulls... and shaq and kobe during the earlier 3peat...

iba ang psychological exercise ni phil... if it would equate to wins.. thats possible.... but then again, i dont think the lakers will get him and fire MDA... its too late and already too expensive... and i dont think PJ will accept the job now...
