Miami daw won with small ball kaya gusto nila panindigan! Kaya din naman ni durant eh, talo nga lang sila pag ginawa nya yon hehe.

They did win it in 2012 with a small lineup and a "position less" offense.  But as I said, madali kasi i check ang small ball.  The other teams beefed up their height, in preparation for the Heat.  So, pag pinilit ng Heat ang small ball nila, I don't think they can repeat as champs.

Miami now is 29th in team rebounds out of 30 teams.  Last is Boston.  So there...

Pre season pa lang thats how i felt pero sabi ng iba....we are the champions daw eh hahaha.  I think i said it before that small ball will win a championship every so often but on a more consistent basis big men play huge roles in a basketball game.hence there is more history of teams with champion bigs.  Kung small ball parati mag football ka na lang para puro takbuhan.

for me Miami doesn't really need a big man. mainly because there is really no dominating biggie on the nba today that they need to prepare for. maybe DH but the lakers may not even reach the playoffs :)

They may not need to defend one, i agree 100%.  Getting the board though is another story, big men will still dominate that category, and i think evidence of being 29th in the league proves you need a big to rebound.

Master Timi, I think a small ball play takes advantage of the nba rules right now, like hand checking and the clear path rule. As they say, the NBA has gone soft.

Agree ako dyan Master G, it really is a guards game with the recent changes in NBA rules.  but one bang from a legit big and the high flying guard goes straight to the injured list Lol.  Just kidding hehe.  But with big forwards and centers becoming more athletic ( D12 and Deandre as an example) running the floor is part of a big's game narin eh so pretty soon small ball wont have that much of an advantage.

Ganda ng laban ng spurs vs grizzlies. Talaga ba for trade tong si rudy gay? E sobrang ganda ng contribution sa team.

so i guess this loss solidifies their status:no playoffs or is it too early to tell?

To enter the playoffs, Lakers need to win 76% of their remaining games. You probably get an idea where this team is heading.

Still attainable. There is more than half of the season left to play. They have to get healthy fast and get their act together though. FYI Jordan Hill out for the season. That's a huge loss for their bench.

Next challenge is Cleveland...who have the worst record in the NBA currently. If they lose to them then they might probably be eyeing to play in the NBDL next year.

Kalaloka yun mga drive/layup/bato ni James Harden! Pumapasok talaga no matter how awkward it looks. Sayang at natalo sila against Philly. Kulang pa talaga sa number 4 spot yun Rockets and JLin still needs to be more consistent on his overall game. I like that he is able to keep up his average on steals.

nakakahiya Cavs. dapat nilalampaso na nila yung Lakers by now. Maybe a 2nd half crumble for the Lakers. / low expectations

According to Skip, this is a "new" Lakers team.
