Boston must aim for the 6th seed instead of the 8th or 7th seed so they can avoid MIA and NY.
If they can achieve that, i'm sure they can go deep into the playoffs.
So far so good naman ang BOS and i agree Rivers is a very good coach.

Why prolong the agony!? I say Boston vs Miami agad 1st round.

Maganda nga sana kung nakuha nila si gay, then magharap sila ng heat sa 1st round, would surely make for a good dogfight.:)

Out kagad Boston dyan. Not that Miami is not a good team.....they are. But may tulong na yan for Miami. Mawawala yun box office draw if the Heat is booted out first round pa lang. Last year sa Indiana series pa lang tapos nun nag 3-2 ang Boston, there were numerous questionable calls/non-calls for Miami to get back in the game or series. My own observation of course.  :D

Though both of them had a very good midrange shot (Duncan and Rob), the key in their tandem is that David had to give up his Alpha Dog status to Duncan and concentrate on the defensive side of things which he was very good at while Duncan was unstoppable on the offensive end. The Admiral knew that for him to win that elusive ring he had to get help from Duncan in a huge way night in and night out.

For Gasol and Howard neither seem to back down. During the course of the season we have seen both players complaining of touches and playing time. It's the ME first mentality that's coming to fore. Add to the mix is the biggest ME, MYSELF and I of them all which is The Mamba so there goes the instability. Only recently did they realized that for them to get to their preferred destination they need to drop that kind of mentality and just help each other out.

Actually, this is a correct observation. It's all about attitude.

I dont think Tim Duncan and David Robinson deserve to be compared to those 2 losers (sorry LA fans).

Those 2 spurs are head and shoulders above Howard and Gasol - Both in Skill and court attitude.

Duncan at 36 years old, is still more effective than most PF/C in the league - and honestly, deserves the starting C spot in the west over Howard, but of course the all star starters are chosen by fans :)

David Robinson just happens to be one of the 50 greatest players and a HOF. Tim Duncan, well obviously the greatest power forward of all time, definitely a future HOF... Howard might get there, but Gasol - probably not.

Cheers :)

boston's ot win over miami really boosted their confidence hence the 4 straight wins. not to discredit them but right now the team is not really built to contend for the championship. yes they would go into the playoffs but thats about it. really rooting for ny vs boston sa start ng playoffs.

clippers without CP doesnt play as one the top teams in the west.

ESPN Playoff Odds
http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/playoffodds

The Blazers seem to have the most difficult schedule remaining among the teams contending for the fiinal spot, and the Rockets have the easiest. So it's Utah vs Lakers for the final spot? Come back Mo!

I'd hate for NY to run into the celtics in the first round.Hope they finish 6th or higher, since miami looks to be a lock at 1 (and hoping ny keeps the 2nd seed)

On the flipside the number 1 team probably wants to be 2 instead, make no joke about it, if LA gets the 8th seed yari yung seeded 1, kasi ibig sabihin ang lakers went around 27-30 wins with only 3-5 losses after the all-star break.  And that is one HOT record!

Ako +1 dito, i want a bos and ny playoff. Yan ang value ng nba history, pati fans are into it. The miami fans i respect are those that supported zo when he was losing to the bulls, knicks and pacers.

Cp3 is....cp3 hehe.  Aside from rondo, nobody else has better court vision and pure point guard instinct.

Well, let's just say it will be better for the league should BOS be in the eastern semi finals against MIA or NY.

Its better for everyone in my opinion.  Malaking bagay ang history/rivalry.  If ali and foreman fought way before their prime, baka hindi naging rivalry yon.  So if boston loses to any other team aside from ny or mia, lalong magiging boring ang east.  The 1st round serves as a tuneup/practice for the more serious semis round.

Sebastian Telfair rin ba bro nung mag champ sila?  IIRC di pa sya starter nun eh :)

2nd year pro na si rondo non classmate, starter na sya and considered the weakest link nung time na yon...and boy were they wrong about weakest lol.

So it has come to this for Laker Fans -- hope that other Western teams lose.  Today, we are hoping that Portland loses to Minnesota and Sacramento beats Utah :( :(

43 wins for an 8th spot?  I don't think that's enough. Average wins for an 8th seed the last 5 yrs is 48.....45 being the lowest total if I'm not mistaken. Even w/ 21 wins, Lakers have to win 2 out of every 3 games the rest of the way. And that might not even be enough if Portland, Houston and Utah keep winning as well.

Those early losses were too much.  They dug themselves in a deep hole too soon.  Yun palang win-less record nila sa pre season was an early indication of their problems.  Yari pala talaga sila this season.
