naghahanap ako ng LIKE button, pdvd nga pala to.:)

Excerpts from LBJ's statement :

"I don't think rings always define someone's career. If that was the case then I'd sit up here and take... (Bill) Russell over Jordan. But I wouldn't. I wouldn't take Russell over Jordan. Russell has 11 rings, Jordan has six. I'd take, I don't know, (Robert) Horry over Kobe.

It's your own personal opinion. Rings don't define someone's career. A guy like Judd Buechler who has multiple rings, Charles Barkley doesn't have any. He's not better than Charles Barkley. Patrick Ewing is one of the greatest of all time. Reggie Miller is one of the greatest of all time.

Sometimes it's the situation that you're in, it's the team you're in, and it's about timing as well.

I don't play the game and try and define myself about what guys say or how they feel about me. It doesn't matter to me. I play for my family, my teammates, my coaching staff, my fans, and that's it."

Fact: Lebron is the best player in the NBA right now.
Fact: JORDAN said Lebron is a better player who dominates now. But Kobe 5 rings (MJ was probably referring to experience) he did go on to say Lebron might get there or even finish with more rings.

To me, either Lebron's statement was a knee jerk reaction that he said those things without even watching what MJ said. If he watched it, then he is as dumb as I think he is. The question posed referred to FRANCHISE PLAYERS leading teams to win rings, he's not a role player so putting Robert Horry in the equation is just outright "a juvenile reaction."

And I love how at the back of MJ's head he was saying.... Kevin Durant. <--- I totally agree.

No need to put up MJ vs anyone. There will never be another Michael Jordan, all those who have witnessed know that. Even Kobe, Even Lebron.

I bet you they all still wish they could be.... "LIKE MIKE."

^^Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4 ...... so that is the real meaning of what LB6 told to the whole world

Kung di nila seseryosohin, lalabas pampa-cute lang pala yung all star MVP award.

Ganun na nga, at least para sa akin. Kaya nga exhibition game eh, no bearing. Hindi dapat seryosohin dapat mag enjoy lang 'yung mga player, after all it's their season break, 'pag tapos ng all star game kayod kabayo ulit sila, yan na ang dapat seryosohin.

Those were nice blocks by the Mamba.  And I am a Kobe fan too.

But it got me thinking, aren't they supposed to play less defense on ASG?  I mean, they're supposed to highlight their offensive skills right?  Coz I honestly think if Lebron will play defense too and the rest of the players like KG and Duncan, ASGs won't be too exciting.

Well, Kobe is Kobe.  It's gonna be a highlight reel for a long time ;D

Dapat ginawa nya yun nung Miami Lakers - defend Lebron.  I remember LBJ shooting the lights out vs the Lakers on the two real games.  Mas sikat si Kobe pag ganun kaso, nilampaso Lakers eh...

Here's the interview of Chris Webber on Bill Russell:

http://www.nba.com/video/channels/tnt_overtime/2013/02/18/20130217-bill-russell-chris-webber-interview.nba/index.html

Asked to comment on Jordan's ring analogy of Kobe better than LBJ, Russell said he doesn't want to talk about that because he never asked a player to play against a ghost -- meaning a player from the past playing against a player of the current and the future.  He would always play the guy that shows up in the arena.

Asked who would he choose as the GOAT?  Russell, Jordan or Wilt?  Without hesitation, he said "BILL RUSSELL" because he can dominate both offense and defense and the way he plays, his team wins!!

You Rock, Bill!!!

Baka naman naalala ni Kobe that Lebron TRIED TO BLOCK him last year but failed,  so he's just returning the favor

Well, a 6'9 ( I still think LBJ is 6'10 or 6'11) blocking a 6'6" player is normal.  But vice versa?  That's a highlight reel.

Lebron is listed at 6'8" though.  Still very impressive since the rim was between Lebron and Kobe.  And in theory the rim should have protected Kobe from Lebron's block.

“Me? Trash talk? Never. I don't do that. I'm a nice guy," Bryant said postgame.

I stand corrected.  Kobe never trash talked Lebron after that block.  Sorry my bad.

Here's another highlight of the ASG -- CP3's trey over Noah.  Love this one.  Check how Noah defended on CP3 as if saying, "cmon little boy, let's get it on..."  Then CP3 just buries this one.  Classic!!

Anyway...

Quote
In fact, they’re so in sync, their beatdown of the Oklahoma City Thunder before the break marked their sixth straight win against the best team in the West. It also was proof that Kevin Durant, Russell Westbook and Co. need to find another level if they hope to have any chance at a successful Finals reunion against Miami. Life without James Harden is what it is, and they’re going to have to adjust to it.

...

The playoffs are very often about stars rising to a level that normal players cannot.

Heat ready for all challengers

Yep just like the Mavs out-leveling the HEAT back then. :P

Still this season's fluke games, that boneheaded HEAT team incarnation can level up more I guess as always (I hope way more vs. Indiana in the playoffs).

for the east, i hope it would be ny and miami in the ecf. i'm not really worried about indiana. on the west, the only team that could really match up with miami is okc. although they were outgunned on the regular season i would expect them to step up during playoffs.

RIP Dr Buss....you made winning a tradition in LA. You will be sorely missed.

16 finals appearance in 34 years of ownership netting 10 trophies. That's an average of a championship parade in downtown LA  every 3 years. An initial $67million dollar investment back then to buy the team is now valued in excess of $1Billion as per Forbes.

Jim? Well he woke up already as the heir and has the rare chance of destroying the tradition from here on end that his father built. Way to to go Jim........for starters he may listen to Coach MDA and trade Gasol for a bunch of marginal players, lose Howard in the off season and have Kobe retire much earlier than he envisioned.
