Hehehe! Di pa naman sure but they do have the inside track. A back to back loss takes them out of the playoffs. It's that volatile.

The Lakers are really lucky that the Jazz keep losing. But they need to take advantage of this and get their act together fast, especially this coming week where they play 4 consecutive games on the road.

12 games left for Utah and LA, and I think Utah has the better schedule at this point: they only have 4 road games left and only 5 games against playoff-bound teams (BKN, DEN, @GSW, OKC and MEM). On the other hand, LA has 6 road games left and 7 games against playoff-bound teams (@GSW, @MIL, MEM, @LAC, GSW, SAS, HOU).

Looks like this playoff race is going down the wire...

Let's not kid ourselves about the Knicks because we all know they are not a top-caliber team.

Sure na yung 27 against the Magic tomorrow. #28 against the Bulls (and if they win, #30 against the Spurs) is the only chance that the streak can stop. After that,

31 Knicks
32 Bobcats
33 Sixers
34 Bucks (now this would be interesting! The Bucks was also the team that stopped the 33-game winning streak by the Lakers.)
35 Wizards

then #36 would be against the Celtics. Another chance for the record to end. After that, it should be a cinch for the Heat.

So really, only 3 teams stand in the way of the Heat in stopping their hot streak.

can't disregard the Bulls. Thibodeau still knows how to coach his guys on how to properly play defense. Yun nga lang, the question of them being up to the task is the only variable there. We'll see. Pero once they win against the Bulls and Spurs, the coast is clear for breaking the 33-game winning streak record. Knicks are just cannon fodders. hahaha

Assuming the HEAT gets #28 and #29 over the BULLS & HORNETS ....... that road game with the SPURS will absolutely be must-watch TV.

For one, it will probably the last big hurdle for the HEAT to make history ..... more importantly, it will be a potential Finals preview and will be played with a very similar atmosphere and intensity.

hopefully they make another inspiring comeback. but with the way they're playing, it seems impossible. Gasol is too slow on defense. Clark should really be in there with the starters. Gasol should be a bench guy.

Lakers still 1 up on the loss column versus Dallas and Utah. But those talk about even moving up as the 6th seed is virtually nil. Mukhang talagang hanggang 8th seed na lang.

The problem with the Lakers is that they're not really playing as a team. The whole should always be greater than the sum of its parts.
