melo is on a mission this season. i have always hated melo's games from day one, but this year he surprised me by showing a real desire to win and compete offensively and defensively. he gets my nod for this year's MVP. with how he turned the Knicks around, I'd be surprised if somebody else is named MVP. still, there's politics in the NBA and anything can happen

The Clips sweeps the Lakers this year. They really have the Lakers' number. Di na sila yung whipping team ng LA. back to the 9th spot.

I agree that Melo's game has improved, greatly improved this year. MVP? Close but not quite compared to LBJ.

Melo for MVP ....... not with the way Lebron (or even KD) had played this year.

Lebron has been downright scary this year - mad combination of stats and efficiency, all the while making his team and team mates better ...... also, helps that the HEAT practically ran away with the East title weeks ago.

Melo will probabaly get a few 1st-place MVP votes, similar to KD ...... but it has been another Lebron year.

JR Smith is one of the Key kaya maganda pinakikita ng NYK.. hoping gumanda pa D ng NYK this playoff, makikita natin agad yan sa round1 :)

for the Lakers, hoping manalo ng UTA para tuloy tuloy at nang maka pag pahinga na ang lakers. Para more time to build the new roster.

Goodbye my Lakers,.. see you next season.

Knicks seem to have the fire power to match up with the Heat.
It's gona be a hell of an eastern finals should they meet.

JR Smith vs Wade
Melo vs LBJ
Chandler vs Bosh

Great match ups!
Gee yoU aRe yoU!

^ as much as they need to rest in the offseason, just a few more playoffs games wouldn't hurt naman. Who knows what could happen sa playoffs. hehehe

(yun nga lang, if OKC, I doubt if mananalo kahit 1 game yung Lakers)

sad day for lakers...or sad season

melo is just on a rampage lately, scoring machine talaga. nice push but too late overcome lbj for mvp honors. lbj is just above the rest this season.

Given Utah's remaining schedule (OKC, MIN, @MIN, @MEM), it seems they'll likely go 2-2 the rest of the way - which means the Lakers (NOH, @POR, GSW, SAS, HOU) have to go 4-1 in their remaining games. Crucial 'yung next two games nila, back-to-back pa. This playoff race will likely clear up by the end of this week. Tall order for the Lakers, but it is what it is.  :)

If ever Utah will make it the playoffs instead of the Lakers, it's because Utah is playing better basketball.  The game earlier, IMO, is their best game thus far. As for the Lakers, they actually are playing better but not enough to beat a powerhouse team like the Clips.  Again, I go back to those two losses -- PHX and WAS at home.  Those were gimmes that could have buffered them late in the crucial moments like these.

As a Laker fan, I am so pathetic now.  Watching not only the Lakers on "must win" games but also Utah on "must lose" games.  Oh boy...

hard to put the blame on those 2 losses alone. Lots of winnable games that were lost due to bad team defense and stagnant offense. Just a horrible season overall for the Lakers.

Lakers pa din manalo, matalo.

The Wolves might just be the key to the Lakers playoff hopes.  Utah goes up against the Wolves twice in their final 4 games.

naku. putting hope on the injury-riddled TWolves team is as close to being hopeless. While I love how Peckovic and Rubio have been playing, I just doubt that they can beat a team like Utah. OKC and Memphis lang chance na matalo Utah. Sana naman galingan ng OKC kasi last time, tinalo sila ng Jazz. haha

I know how lal fans feel about their team, hoping for other team to lose for them to reach the playoffs is just bad, it happened to my team before and worst coming from big acquisitions pa..  You think this will motivate kobe for next season? Kahit anupaman, He's number 2 n my book next to Mj as the greatest..

With regard to Kobe being motivated: He has repeatedly said that he doesn't need extra motivation. He said that he lives and breathes to win championships and that alone is his motivation every season.

Pag may makita siya sa game tape, lalapitan nya teammates nya to point out an error or something that can be done better next time.

First in, last out sa gym. he has been doing that since his rookie year pa daw. So that alone should tell you na di na nya kelangan ng extra drive/motivation.

Although I wish he continues to play as an all-around playing na at this point in his career. ok na ok siya as a decoy and assist-man. :D

surely KB24 will chase the next ring.. again this season or next season which he is 105% motivated before he retires. Kitang kita naman talaga diba :)

back to 8seed racing... 2L ng UTA ang kailangan ng Lakers para mag karoon ng pag asa otherwise UTA will make it in Playoff.

...last ditch effort to make it to the playoffs, Lakers are working a trade with the Bobcats...

... they want to trade places... Lakers will be moving to the Eastern Conference for a guaranteed 8th seed slot. Heat vs Lakers on the first round. lol. Tapos na ang usapan. Bakbakan na. >:D >:D >:D

hehe. crucial games na lahat for the Lakers. yun nga lang, kahit 5-0 pa sila pag nag 4-0 din Utah, so long, Lakers pa din.

Madami daming dasal kelangan nito. parang 2005-2006 season all over again if they fail to make the playoffs

lebron has had a great year. but they just came from a championship... its expected. and how many fast breaks has wade passed up just to get an assist to lebron for a dunk?

the knicks are the oldest team in the league. nobody gave them a shot at it, but they dumped miami 3-1 this year (the last game without wade and lebron) but the first two with both of them beating them twice by more than 20+ pts.

the win streak, and this current dumping of OKC, if melo holds on the wins the scoring title, I think he should be the MVP, not that he's a better player than lebron, but for the effort to change his game and the team's results.

Depends on what team will show up vs Utah - a playoff caliber team or a team who will rest players for the playoffs.  Right now, hindi lang Utah ang pagasa ng Lakers.  Dapat magdasal din sila na the other teams won't rest and play heads up.
