great or not at 34, kobe was drafted straight from high school. pang ilan season na nya kahit ba 34 years old pa lang/na sya.

I really think Kobe was drafted at the age of 12, not 17.  The guy is definitely not 34 years old - the way he's playing.

the mileage is what impresses me more. Ibang klase laro niya kahit almost whole game na naglaro kaya pa din talunin off the dribble yung mga younger defenders. That's amazing performance by lolo Kobe!

Wag muna Lolo, I think 34 is still not yet that old as pointed out by DVD_Freak.  Pwede Tatang muna?  And besides, Kobe said he might just shift to full time PG position as he ages.  Parang Jawo ah.  Baka gusto rin nya mag playing coach.  May nagplaying coach na ba sa NBA???

Talunin ba saan?  Kung 6 rings, e may 3 to 5 years left pa kay Tatang Kobe hopefully Lakers snatch 1 to 2 rings but medyo mahirap given the rising teams in the West and East.  Kung scoring naman, kayang kayang ni Kobe to overtake Jordan for 3rd spot overall.  He just needs 12 points ppg ng regular season and by 2014, he will surpass His Airness as 3rd overall. Wag lang ma injure.

Iba laro ni Pau when he is positioned near the post as proven in this game. 20/10 guy pa rin with very good free throw accuracy at that.

actually ang hirap talaga maging coach ng lakers, there were some plays that the Gasol-Howard tandem on offense was a beast but on others it was just trash.  On other occasions, the lakers were so much better with one on the bench, may masasacrifice nga lang, Defense if howard is out and offense if Pau is out.  Pau and D12 really need to talk and work together to make this work.  parang ang formula dapat is howard - Nash ang focus sa 1st three quarters and then Kobe and Pau take over sa 4th hehe.

Hehehe I remember watching Jawo coach on air at huddles..."you....you go here....then you...force the issue inside okay? Okay? Force the issue!!!"

What a guy. If he were to be coaching the Lakers I might put my money on that rather than MDA leading them.

yeah, Pau doing the Duncan role, and Dwight doing Robinson's role. Problem is, Dwight does not have the skills that Robinson had...(yet.i hope)

Power player si Robinson but he also had some suave post-up moves. Dwight has raw power and post-up moves that great big men would cringe at.

and to add, Robinson had a legit 15 foot jumper that you had to guard, otherwise he would nail it all night long...

yeah that too. Si Shaq lang yata walang jumper among Robinson, Ewing and Hakeem nung 90s. Puro dunks and hook shots si Shaq but still a million times better than Dwight kasi maganda footwork ni Shaq.

yup, even Zo had a legit 15-18 footer.

Apart from Shaq's excellent footwork and underrated passing skills (when doubled) it was also the time where moving your guard by using your elbows were still legit.  when shaq spins all other 5's disappear! LOL

ah yes, the preshistoric days of legit big men with post-up moves. nakakamiss. Dati center favorite position ko. Tapos nung nagpasukan sila Kobe, VC and Tmac, etc, lahat gusto nang maging SG. Nung dumating naman si Lebron, lahat gusto maging swingman/SF.

Lakers look lethargic on D. the curse of back-to-back games for old teams. haha

Kobe and Lillard both have 17 points each after the 1st Q. Showdown na lang sila, mas matutuwa pa ako.

Lakers have no problem offensively.  Kobe is on fire.  Even Pau and DH12 seem to be hitting their stride.  It's the D that sucks >:(  As usual.  If they can only tighten up their defense and play a little bit more aggressively on defense, I think they'll beat Portland ;D
